[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the distance between the drop point of the tee shot and the hole cup by men and woman professional golfers on par3 holes. [Method] The contents of par 3 hole was recorded among the men`s and women`s professional tournaments held in korea. For men, the distances were 159 and 184m, and for women 159m. The number of players was 107 for men and 127 for women. [Result] There was statistically significant difference in the average number of strokes between the falling zones (F(3,12.34)=16.78,p<.001, η2=.284). When the ball was on the green, the averge was 2.93 strokes, but the rough was 3.41 strokes, the sand was 3.53 strokes, and the water was 4.60 strokes. The average distance from the hole in each drop zone was 7.35m for the green, 15m for the sand, and 16.09m for the rough. [Conclusion] When the ball was on the green, the birdie probability was 10.8 times higher than when it was not. Of the layers who hit the ball within 3 meters of the hole, 41.9% had birdie and 58.1% had par. Hoowever, 36.4% of players who landed the ball from 21 meters or higher recorded par and 63.6% had more than bogey.

[목적] 본 연구의 목적은 파3홀에서 티샷 한 볼의 낙하지점과 홀컵과의 거리가 타수에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. [방법] 국내에서 개최된 남녀프로대회의 경기 중 파3홀을 기록하였다. 남자의 경우 홀의 거리는 159m와 184m, 여자의 경우는 159m였다. 참여한 남자 선수는 107명, 여자 선수는 127명이다. [결과] 낙하구역 간 평균스트 로크 수(F(3, 12.34)=16.78, p<.001, η²=.284)에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 공이 그린에 있을 때는 평균 2.93타를 기록하였지만, 러프는 3.41타, 샌드는 3.53타, 물이 4.60타였다. 낙하구역 별 홀까지의 평균 거리는 그린 이 7.35m, 샌드가 15m, 러프가 16.09m였다. [결론] 공을 그린에 올렸을 때가 못 올렸을 때보다 10.8배 버디 확률 이 높았다. 홀 3m 이내에 볼을 올린 선수 중 버디가 41.9%, 파가 58.1%였다. 그러나 21m를 넘어가는 선수의 36.4%가 파를 기록했고 63.6%가 보기 이상을 기록했다.
