Recently, many companies have been trying to realize ESG management. However, they are having difficulty activating ESG because the evaluation indicators of ESG evaluation agencies are different. This study aims to find commonalities in the evaluation indicators of each evaluation agency and propose key evaluation factors to help companies engage in ESG activities. First, we analyzed the evaluation indicators of major ESG evaluation agencies on the environmental sector among ESG areas. After that, we identified commonalities in evaluation indicators of evaluation agencies and proposed five key environmental evaluation factors: green management strategy, green renewable energy, green process management, green product development, and green promotion relations. Finally, we examined the possibility of using the proposed evaluation factors by analyzing companies' current ESG management situation in major industries based on the five critical environmental evaluation factors. Using the results of this study, we hope that Korean companies will increase their activities in the ESG environment sector.

최근 많은 기업들이 ESG 경영을 실현하고자 노력하고 있지만, ESG 평가기관들의 평가지표 가 서로 다르기 때문에 ESG 경영 활성화에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구는 기업의 원활한 ESG 경영을 돕기 위해 평가기관별 평가지표에서 공통점을 찾아내고, 핵심이 되는 평가요소들을 제안 한 후 그 실효성을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저, ESG 영역 중 점점 중요도가 높아지고 있는 환경 부문을 중심으로 국내외 주요 ESG 평가기관들의 평가지표들을 분석하였다. 그 후, 평가기관들의 평가지표들에서 공통점을 파악하여 1) 녹색 경영시스템, 2) 재생자원 활용, 3) 녹 색 공정관리, 4) 녹색 제품개발, 5) 녹색 공중관계로 구성된 5대 핵심 환경평가요소를 제안하였 다. 끝으로, 5대 핵심 환경평가요소를 토대로 주요 산업에 속한 기업들의 현재 ESG 경영상황을 분석해 봄으로써 제안한 평가요소들의 활용 가능성을 살펴보았다. 향후 본 연구에서 제안한 5대 핵심 환경평가요소를 바탕으로 ESG 환경 부문에 대한 기업들의 원활한 활동이 이루어지기를 기대해본다.
