This research aims to determine whether there was the rise of financialization in Korea as well as in developed countries and whether the financialization had negative effects on the Korean firm’s real investment. Also this study tries to identify the differences between the effects of financialization on the real investment with respect to the firm’s strategy shift, that is, outsourcing. To do this, I use econometric analysis using the panel data set consisting of 562 KOSPI firms for the 2004～2015 period. The research has resulted in three findings. First, Korean firms for the period increased their owning of financial assets rather than fixed assets, facing the rising rate of return for the former and the declining rate of return for the latter. Secondly, through the econometric analysis, this research argues that the slow down of real investment was caused by the difference between the return rates of both assets and the volatility of macroeconomic variables. Thirdly, this finding is prominent in the firms adopting outsourcing strategy more actively than other firms

이 논문은 주로 선진국들에서 볼 수 있는 금융화현상이 한국에서도 일어났는지 그리고 그것 이 기업의 실물투자를 저해하였는지에 관해 실증 분석하는 것을 목표로 한다. 또한 이러한 금융 화와 투자의 관계를 기업전략의 변화 중 하나인 아웃소싱의 확대와도 관련지어 검증하였다. 이를 위해 2004～2015년까지 한국증권거래소에 상장된 562개의 기업들로 패널자료를 구성하 여 기업의 자산구성변화 등을 살펴보았고 금융활동증가와 기업투자, 그리고 아웃소싱의 관계를 확인하기 위해 패널계량분석을 실시하였다. 실증결과, 첫째, 2004년부터 2015년까지 한국기업들은 유형자산에 비해 금융자산소유를 대체 적으로 늘렸음을, 그리고 상승하는 금융자산수익률과 하락하는 실물자산수익률에 직면하여 왔음 을 확인하였다. 둘째, 이러한 두 자산수익률의 변화는 실물투자의 감소를 초래하였으며 기존의 연구에서 주장되었듯이 거시변수의 변동성 내지는 불확실성 또한 실물투자의 위축으로 이어지 는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 상대적으로 아웃소싱전략을 적극적으로 채택한 기업들을 대상으로 한 실증분석에서 금융자산수익률의 상승에 의한 실물투자의 축소가 더 뚜렷하게 나타났다.
