This study deals with a creative work on the play ‘Fate’ based on the story of a hooded crane from the perspective of ecological culture. By examining the characteristics and cultural aspects of the performance in the ecological environment, it aims to explore the meanings of the hooded crane’s experiences of overcoming the hardships and adversity with the aid of goblins in costume. By adopting a case study, we obtained the following results by interpreting the collected data such as scripts, photos, videos, memos, and informal interview data. The overall performances in the play ‘Fate’ turned out to reveal ‘experimental directing based on ecological sensibility’, ‘new theatrical design from the perspective of folk play’, ‘direction of revision of works through performance evaluation’, and ‘development into regional representative contents’. Through the relationship between humans and migratory birds, this work showed a critical reflection on the performance of an actor who expressed the state of being indifferent to the conservation of the ecological environment and becoming more and more interested while acting 3 roles(narrator, official, veterinarian). Finally, the direction of future revision works was derived from the viewpoints of ecological performance and performance aesthetics.

이 연구의 목적은 생태문화의 관점에서 흑두루미 실화를 토대로 연극으로 기획된 ‘인연’ 공연의 수행 사례를 살펴보고 생태환경 공연의 특징과 문화적 측면을 다룸으로 써 생태연극에 나타난 경험을 통해 의미를 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구의 대상인 ‘인연’ 작 품은 도깨비를 매개체로 흑두루미의 이야기에서 전개되는 상황을 재미있게 표현하면 서 흑두루미의 고난과 역경을 극복하는 내용을 다루었다. 2020년 11월에 비대면 공연 으로 진행되었던 공연을 대상으로 수집한 대본, 사진, 동영상, 메모, 서술식 설문지와 면담 자료 등을 사례 연구의 일환으로 해석하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 연극 ‘인연’ 공연 사례는 ‘생태감수성 기반의 실험적인 연출’, ‘연희적 관점에서의 새 로운 연극 디자인’, ‘공연 평가를 통한 작품의 수정 방향’ 및 ‘지역의 대표 콘텐츠로의 발 전 가능성’의 특징을 갖추고 있음을 보여주었다. 이 작품은 인간과 철새의 관계를 통하 여 생태환경 보전에 대해 무관심하다가 점점 관심을 가지게 되는 배우의 1인 3역(낭독 극 진행자, 동사무소 직원 및 수의사) 역할이 부각되는 비평적 성찰을 보여주었다. 마 지막에 생태 퍼포먼스와 수행미학적 관점에서 향후에 수정 보완할 부분을 도출하였다.
