Anxiety about the future is increasing among college students as the current economic downturn and decreased number of recruitment due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic are intensifying their difficulties in preparing for career path and employment. Therefore, the need for a practical career education adaptable to various environmental changes is raised in various circles. Concrete career planning and preparation is all the more required of aviation service major college students seeking employment in the aviation industry, which has been going through unprecedented stagnation due to COVID-19. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the structural causal relations between big 5 personality traits, professor-student interaction, career decision self-efficacy, and career preparation behaviors targeting college students majoring in aviation service, and to examine the mediation effect of professor-student interaction and career decision self-efficacy in the relationship between big 5 personality traits and career preparation behaviors. To this end, a survey was conducted with college students majoring in aviation service, from which a total of 360 copies of questionnaire were used for analysis. The results from testing the hypotheses were as follows: First, among the big 5 personality traits, conscientiousness and neuroticism were found to have significant effects on professor-student interaction; extraversion, openness, and neuroticism were found to have significant effects on career decision self-efficacy; and conscientiousness and openness were found to have significant effects on career preparation. Second, professor-student interaction was found to have a significant effect on career decision self-efficacy and career preparation behaviors, while career decision self-efficacy was found to have a significant effect on career preparation behaviors. Third, as a result of analyzing the mediation effects of professor-student interaction and career decision self-efficacy, they were found to have partial mediation effects in the relationship between conscientiousness and career preparation behaviors, and full mediation effects for extraversion and neuroticism. The results of this study may be helpful in establishing strategies for counseling, career guide, and education scenes to strengthen the career preparation behaviors of college students majoring in aviation service.

현재 코로나19 장기화로 인한 경기침체와 채용인원의 감소 등으로 진로와 취업 준비에 대한 어려움 이 가중되면서 대학생들의 미래에 대한 불안감은 고조되고 있다. 따라서 다양한 환경변화에 적응 가능 한 실질적 진로교육의 필요성이 제기되며, 특히 코로나19로 인해 유례없는 침체를 겪고 있는 항공업계 로의 취업을 원하는 항공서비스 전공 대학생들의 체계적인 진로준비행동이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구는 항공서비스 전공 대학생들을 대상으로 성격5요인, 교수-학생 상호작용, 진로결정자 기효능감, 그리고 진로준비행동 간의 구조적 인과관계를 규명하고, 성격5요인과 진로준비행동 간의 관 계에서 교수-학생 상호작용과 진로결정자기효능감의 매개효과를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 항공서 비스 전공 대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 총 360부의 설문지를 분석에 사용하였다. 가설검증 결과 첫째, 성격5요인 중 성실성과 신경증은 교수-학생 상호작용에 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 외향성과 개방성, 신경증은 진로결정자기효능감에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 성실성과 개방성은 진로준 비행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교수-학생 상호작용은 진로결정자기효능감과 진로준비행동에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 진로결정자기효능감은 진로준비행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 교수-학생 상호작용과 진로결정자기효능감의 매개효과 분석결과, 성실성과 진 로준비행동 간의 관계에서는 부분매개효과가 있었으며, 외향성과 신경증에서는 완전매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 항공서비스 전공 대학생들의 진로준비행동을 강화하기 위한 상담 및 진로, 교육 장면의 전략수립에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.
