The purpose of the study was to analyze the functionality preference of outdoor wear in camping female participant. for this qualitative research, the participants were selected by two camping female participant. A study on the date collection in this study participants for an interview on literature data of the meeting with deep bitterness. They were analyzed through the stage of transferring and encoding suggested in the grounded theory method, and then through the area analysis of Zilber(1998), as well as the stages of both area analysis technique and classification analysis by spradly(1980). in an analytical result. Kim, the first female camping participant, was thinking of a break from routine as a relieving-stress channel and enjoyed surfing as an outdoor activity. She preferred a strong quick-absorbing-and-drying featured product of outdoor wear in the outdoor activities. Lee, the second female camping participant. was feeling happy camping with her family. For outdoor activities, she enjoyed riding a mountain bike, rafting, and her family took pleasure in camping on their own by utilizing a caravan. she preferred the products which had outstanding waterproofness and hygroscopicity of outdoor wear in the outdoor activities.

본 연구의 목적은 캠핑여성 참가자의 아웃도어 웨어 기능성에 따른 선호도에 대해서 어떠한 특성이 있는지에 대한 질적사례를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 Y시에 거주하는 2명의 여성 캠핑참가자를 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 본 연구에 서의 자료 수집은 연구 참여자를 대상으로 인터뷰를 통한 심층면담, 문헌자료로 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 근거이론에서 제시하고 있는 전사와 부호화 단계를 거친 다음, Zilber(1998)가 제시한 영역분석과 Spradly(1980)가 제시한 분류분석의 두 가지 단계로 나누어서 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫 번째 캠핑여성 참가자인 김OO여성은 일상 에서 벗어남을 스트레스해소 창구로 생각하고 있었고, 서핑활동을 통한 야외활동을 즐겼다. 야외활동에서 아웃도어 웨어 의 흡한속건성의 특성이 강한 제품을 선호하였다. 두 번째 캠핑여성 참가자인 이00여성은 가족들과 함께 캠핑활동 하는 것에 행복감을 느끼고 있었다. 야외활동으로는 산악오토바이와 레프팅(rafting)을 즐겼으며, 캠핑카를 활용해서 본인 가족들만의 캠핑생활을 하였다. 야외활동에서 아웃도어 웨어의 방수성과 흡습성이 뛰어난 제품을 선호하였다.
