The sentence with the adverb “可” is one of the commonly used expressions in Chinese, and the usage of conjunctions in the transition meaning is the most familiar usage. However, the usage of adverbs is complicated and diverse because of their grammatical forms and semantic functions. For foreign students who are new to Chinese, there are great difficulties in understanding and acquisition. So far, many scholars have analyzed and researched the adverb “可” from various angles, but most of the research has focused on the analysis of a certain aspect, and lacks a comprehensive and systematic arrangement of the semantics and structure of the adverb “可” sentence. The purpose of this paper is to analyze and classify the adverb ‘可’ in terms of semantics and grammatical structure. The various meanings and functions of the adverb ‘可’ in sentences were studied by ‘可’ with stress and ‘可’ without stress respectively. ‘可’ with stress has a relatively simple semantic function and is similar to the meaning of adverbs ‘很’, ‘绝对’, ‘一定’, ‘终于’, and etc. On the other hand, ‘可’ without stress mainly functions as an emphasis, and the emphasized part varies depending on whether the stressed part of the sentence is a subject, predicate, or object. It is hoped that this paper can provide more comprehensive basic knowledge for Chinese beginners and help them understand the expressive function of the Chinese “可” sentences.

부사 ‘可’자문은 중국어에서 흔히 사용되는 표현 중 하나로, 转折义의미의 접속사로 사용 하는 것이 가장 친숙하다. 그러나 부사 ‘可’의 문법적 형태와 의미 기능이 복잡하고 다양하기 때문에 중국어를 처음 접하는 외국인 학생들이 이를 이해하고 습득하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 지금까지 많은 학자들이 부사 ‘可’를 다양한 관점에서 분석하고 연구해 왔지만, 대부분의 연구는 매우 하나의 특징을 초점으로 연구를 진행해 왔고 매우 제한적이다. 부사 ‘可’의 의미 와 구조가 종합적이고 체계적으로 규명되지 않았다. 본 논문은 부사 ‘可’를 의미론과 문법적 구조 측면에서 분석하고 분류하는 것을 목적으로 했다. 부사 ‘可’를 강세가 있는 ‘可’와 강세가 없는 ‘可’로 나눠 부사 ‘可’가 문장에서 담당하는 다양한 의미와 기능을 살펴보았다. 강세가 있는 ‘可’는 의미적 기능이 상대적으로 단순하며 부사 ‘很’, ‘绝对’, ‘一定’, ‘终于’ 등의 의미와 유사하다. 반면 강세가 없는 ‘可’는 주로 강조 기능을 하는데 문장에서 강하게 읽는 부분이 주어, 술어, 목적어인지에 따라 강조하는 부분이 달라진다. 이처럼 본 논문은 부사 ‘可’에 대해 보다 포괄적인 정보를 제공해 관련 연구에 기초적인 자료를 제공하며 중국어 초보 학습자가 부사 ‘可’의 문법적 기능을 이해하는 데 도움이 되기를 바란다.
