Role models are used in a variety of ways in elementary school education. In particular, many studies have shown that role models influence self-efficacy. In order to reveal the relationship between role models and self-efficacy in more detail, this study examines the theories related to role models, and derives role model types and role modeling aspects through them. And through this, the correlation between the students' role model and self-efficacy was analyzed. A survey was conducted on 138 elementary school students in Jeollanam-do, and the results of collection and analysis are as follows. First, the actual situation of the role model differed according to the background factors of the students. Second, the statistically significant effect of the role model type and role modeling aspect on self-efficacy was not significant. Third, the correlation between the type of role model and the role modeling aspect with self-efficacy was different according to the student background factors. It was confirmed that the types of role models correlated with self-efficacy and aspects of role modeling differ according to grade and gender. Through the above results, implications were provided on the direction of production of educational materials using role models, and suggestions for follow-up studies on student role models and self-efficacy were provided.

역할모델은 초등학교 교육현장에서 다양하게 사용되고 있다. 특히 역할모델이 자기효능감 에 영향을 미친다는 다수의 연구가 있다. 본 연구는 역할모델과 자기효능감에 대한 관계를 더욱 구체적으로 드러내고자 역할모델과 관련된 이론을 살피고, 이를 통해 역할모델링 맥락 을 드러내었다. 그리고 이를 통해 학생들의 역할모델링 맥락과 자기효능감의 상관관계를 분 석하였다. 전남의 초등학생 138명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 이를 수집하고 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생 배경 요인에 따라 역할모델링의 맥락이 달랐다. 둘째, 역할모 델링 맥락이 자기효능감에 미치는 통계적으로 유의한 영향은 크지 않았다. 셋째, 학생 배경 요인에 따라 역할모델링 맥락과 자기효능감이 가지는 상관관계가 달랐다. 주거지역, 학년과 성별에 따라서 자기효능감과 상관관계를 가지는 역할모델의 유형과 역할모델링 맥락이 다름 을 확인하였다. 이상의 결과를 통해서 역할모델을 활용한 교육자료 제작 방향에 대해 시사점 을 제공하였고, 학생 역할모델링과 자기효능감의 후속 연구에 대한 제안점을 제공하였다.
