Analysis of existing high school building placement types according to the high school credit system

In order to create a student-centered educational space in preparation for the future society, the paradigm of school space such as individualized space and smart space is changing. In this study, in implementing the high school credit system for existing high schools in order to solve the problems of the educational environment that may occur in the existing school facilities in the implementation of the full-fledged high school credit system, the future curriculum is implemented while maximizing the use of the existing facilities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the possible ways to do it. In order to accommodate the high school credit system in this study, in addition to the quantitative aspect, since it is operated in a qualitative aspect, that is, a ‘curriculum type’, the movement of students occurs a lot, so the need for proper spatial arrangement is raised. Therefore, in this study, in order to satisfy the existing school facilities, it was intended to be used as the basic data for the establishment of the high school credit system by analyzing the layout type of the teacher building, which is the main learning space for students. L-shape and C-shape were the most common layouts for teacher buildings in existing schools.
