This study aims to empirically analyze the change in the Yeonnam commercial area using the data points of 1,142 store openings from 2009 to 2018. While openings show no particular pattern in 2009, they become increasingly clustered from 2010 to 2018. Lacunarity analysis shows that the spatial heterogeneity of the area increases every year, with significant changes after 2016. Moreover, most of the openings and closures are concentrated near Dongjin Market and the entrance of Gyeongui Line Forest Park. This study shows that change in a commercial area is a scale-dependent spatial process that requires a local approach.

본 연구는 2009년부터 2018년까지 영업신고가 이루어진 신규 점포 1,142곳을 분석하여 연남동 상권의 변화를 추적하였다. 2009년에는 임의로 분포했던 신규 점포가 2010년 이후 점점 집적하는 특성이 발견되었다. Lacunarity 분석 결과 연남동 상권의 공간적 이질성은 매년 커지고 있으며 2016년 전후로 이질성의 증가폭이 유의 미하게 커지기 시작하였다. 또한, 10년간 영업신고와 폐업신고는 동진시장 인근과 홍대입구역과 가까운 경의선 숲 길의 입구에서 집중된 것으로 나타난다. 이 연구를 통해 상권의 변화는 스케일에 의존하는 공간 현상이며, 이에 대 응하고자 할 경우 국지적인 접근이 필요함을 확인하였다.
