The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of non-face-to-face education in the Korean Churches. For this purpose, 364 church school teachers serving small and medium-sized churches with less than 1,000 members were surveyed and their responses were analyzed. The researchers found that the Korean church school students mainly attended online worship services through YouTube, but the number of people attending the worship service has also decreased significantly, and they are hardly able to handle church education programs other than worship. In addition, the participants mentioned that the lack of professional manpower and the absence of long-term plans could be the biggest difficulties when conducting non-face-to-face church education. Satisfaction with the non-face-to-face church education was also not so high. Although the non-face-to-face education helped to keep the bond of worship in the current difficult situation, but the teachers expressed their concern that the students' sense of community and spirituality training might be insufficient. Also, church school teachers responded that non-face-to-face church education will be continued and necessary even after COVID-19. In preparation and investment for this, they pointed out that high-quality educational media contents, support and interest from the church, and ministers with media utilization ability and theological foundation should be supported. In particular, as the media literacy of teachers and education department ministers increased, satisfaction with non-face-to-face church education was consistently high. Based on these research findings, the researchers proposed the following four suggestions: first, various non-face-to-face church education programs should be developed, second, long-term vision and investment should be made, and finally, focus and investment should be made on nurturing professional manpower.

본 연구는 코로나19로 인해 비대면으로 진행되고 있는 한국교회의 교회교육의 현 황을 살펴보기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 출석 교인의 수가 1000명 이하인 중·소형 교회를 섬기고 있는 교회학교 교사 364명을 설문 조사하여 그 내용을 분석하였다. 연 구의 결과 한국교회 교회학교는 주로 유튜브를 통해 온라인 예배를 드리고 있으나 예 배 참석 인원도 많이 감소하였고, 예배 이외의 교회교육 프로그램을 거의 감당하지 못하고 있었다. 또한 비대면으로 교회교육을 할 때 전문 인력이 부족한 것과 장기적 인 계획과 대안의 부재를 가장 큰 어려움으로 꼽았다. 비대면 교회교육에 대한 만족 도 역시 그렇게 높지 않은 것으로 나타났고 물론 현재의 어려운 상황에서 그래도 예 배의 끈을 놓치지 않는 데 도움이 되기는 했지만, 학생들의 공동체 의식이나 기도 및 영성 훈련이 부족해질 수 있는 우려를 표시하였다. 그리고 교회학교 교사들은 코로나 19 이후에도 비대면 교회교육은 계속될 것이고, 또 필요하다고 응답하였고, 이를 위한 준비와 투자로 양질의 교육 미디어 콘텐츠와 교회의 지원과 관심, 그리고 미디어 활용 능력과 신학적 기초를 갖추고 있는 사역자가 우선적으로 지원되어야 할 것으로 지 적하였다. 특히 교사와 교육부서 사역자들의 미디어 활용능력(미디어 리터러시)이 높 아짐에 따라 비대면 교회교육의 만족도 역시 일관성 있게 높게 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구자들은 첫째, 다양한 비대면 교회교육 프로그램을 개발해야 하며, 둘째, 장기적인 비전과 투자가 이루어져야 하며, 마지막으로 사람을 세우는 일 에 집중하고 투자해야함을 제언하였다.
