This study aims to provide insights in terms of bibliology and pastoral counseling based on a biblical psychological perspective for a Christian’s self-reformation according to the spirit of the Reformation. The Bible has an important meaning as the core of the Reformation and an important method for spiritual reflection and growth through Christians’ self-reformation. To accomplish the purpose of the study, the study used biblical exegesis according to the bibliological method and analyzed contexts from a counseling perspective. Focused on dialogues between David and Saul, the study examined emotional and psychological changes. The perspective on Saul’s self-reformation instead of the theological interpretation focusing on King David is an effort to avoid the error of distortion and deterioration by providing many possibilities and generalizing the biblical text. This study is worthy that it provides understanding of current difficulties of the Korean church and the value of the Reformation and suggests a direction that can be applied to contemporary Christians. The study expects that Christians succeed to the spirit of the Reformation through the awareness of self-reformation, not distortion and error.

본 연구는 다윗과 사울의 대화를 중심으로 신학적 통찰과 상담의 대화분석을 통해 다윗과 사울의 정서 및 심리 변화를 성서심리적으로 분석한 것이다. 연구는 종교개혁 정신에 따라 기독교인의 자기성찰과 개혁을 위한 성서 및 목회상담적 접근을 이해하 고, 적용하려는 것을 목적으로 한다. 성서는 종교개혁에서 중요한 의미가 있으며, 현 대 기독교인의 자기 개혁을 통한 영적 성찰과 성숙을 위한 중요한 방법론이 된다. 성 서는 신앙의 균형과 통합, 그리고 실천적 적용을 위한 중요한 균형자 역할을 하기에, 기독교인의 신앙과 자기성찰 및 개혁에 성서를 가늠자로 삼는 것은 중요하다. 기독교 인의 자기성찰과 개혁을 이해하고 적용하는데, 성서 이야기를 통해 개혁을 이해하려 는 것은 중요한 일이다. 이에 연구목적을 수행하기 위해 성서해석 방법론에 따라 성 서 본문을 주석하고, 이를 토대로 상담 관점에서 대화의 맥락을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 골리앗과의 전투를 앞둔 다윗과 사울의 대화를 중심으로 분석한 것으로 신학적 의미보다는 심리적 의미에서 해석하고 적용하려는 것이다. 사울과 다윗을 대 립적 인물로 보기보다 이스라엘의 왕인 사울에게 전령으로서 다윗의 메시지는 사울의 변화 기회를 준다. 다윗과 사울의 대화를 통해 사울과 다윗 각자에게 자기 개혁적인 메시지를 받아 반영할 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 사울의 자기 개혁은 다윗 중심의 신학적 해석을 벗어나 여러 가능성을 열고 객관화하여 다양한 해석과 적용, 그리고 왜곡 과 변질의 오류를 줄이려는 노력이다. 본 연구는 한국교회의 어려움과 개혁의 가치를 이해하고 기독교인에게 적용할 수 있는 성서심리적 접근이라는 의미가 있다.
