This study examines the patterns of social maladjustment experience by the continuously increasing multicultural families and analyzes the causes of these patterns to examine their social maladadjustment in the point of view of interculturalism. This study applied a phenomenological method, a qualitative research methodology that values a personal experience rather than practice, to value the individual’s subjective world and to analyze and organize the contents discovered in it. Furthermore, in-depth interviews were conducted with five multicultural families and five elementary schools (5 students, each of their mothers, and 5 teachers), living in the Gyeonggi area using ‘intentional sampling’ and ‘snowball sampling’, which are non-probabilistic sampling methods. As a result of the study, four categories were derived: personal factors, academic-related factors, social factors, and the need for Christian counseling. Psycho-emotional factors and academic-related factors were derived as personal factors, parent-related factors and environmental factors were derived as growth background factors, and social factors such as social prejudice against multicultural families and the absence of self-help groups were derived. Finally, the need for Christian counseling in multicultural families was derived.

본 연구는 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 다문화가정이 겪고 있는 사회적 부적응 양상 을 살펴보고, 이러한 양상들의 원인을 분석하여 상호문화주의의 관점에서 이들의 사 회부적응을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 주관적 세계를 중시하고 그 속에서 발굴한 내용을 분석 정리하는 것으로 특히 개인의 단순한 경험이 아닌 체험을 중시하는 질적 연구방법론인 현상학적 방법을 적용하고, 비확률적 표집방법인 ‘의도적 표집’과 ‘눈덩 이 표집방법을 사용하여 경기지역에 거주하는 다문화가정 5가구와 학교를(학생 5명, 어머니 5명, 교사 5명) 대상으로 하여 심층면접을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 개인적 요인, 학업 관련 요인, 사회적 요인, 기독교 상담의 필요성 등 4개의 범주가 도출되었다. 개 인적 요인으로 심리정서적 요인, 학업관련 요인이 도출되었고, 성장배경요인으로는 부모 관련 요인. 환경적 요인이 도출되었으며, 사회적 요인으로는 다문화가정에 대한 사회적 편견, 자조그룹 부재 등이 도출되었다. 다문화가정의 기독교 상담의 필요성이 도출되었다.
