The purpose of this study is to analyze talks between Presidents Moon Sun-myung and Premier Kim Il-sung from 30 October to 7 December 1991. In particular, this study was intended to closely examine the dialogue process and consensus results from the perspective of humanistic communication theory. To this end, first, this study presents a general theory of communication identified from the humanities perspective, and examines Martin Buber’s theory of communication based on his relational theory and philosophy as a meaningful theory. Second, based on this, the characteristics of the 7.4 Joint Communique, 6.15 Joint Declaration, 10.4 North South Summit Declaration were considered as representative examples of communication in which the two Koreas reached an agreement from the viewpoint of humanistic communication. Third, the contents and significance of the Moon-Kim talks were examined in terms of historical and humanities communication. Finally, from the perspective of humanistic communication, the implications of the Moon-Kim talks for our generation were examined.

이 연구는 1991년 11월 30일부터 12월 7일까지 기간 동안 이루어진 문선명· 김일성 회담과 그것이 주는 의미를 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 특히 이 연구는 인문학적 소통론의 관점에서 회 담과정과 합의 결과를 면밀하게 고찰하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구는 첫째, 보편적 학문 차 원에서 인문학적 관점에서 규명된 소통 일반론을 제시하고 의미있는 이론으로서 마틴 부버 (Martin Buber)의 관계론과 철학에 기반하여 그의 소통론을 살펴보며, 둘째, 이를 토대로 인 문학적 소통의 관점에서 남북한이 합의를 도출한 소통의 대표적인 사례로서 7.4남북공동성 명, 6.15공동선언, 10.4남북공동선언의 특성을 고찰하고, 셋째, 문선명· 김일성 회담의 내용과 그 의의를 역사적 및 인문학적 소통의 차원에서 살펴보았다. 끝으로 인문학적 소통의 관점에서 문선명· 김일성 회담이 오늘을 살아가는 우리가 지향해야 할 미래 차원에 던져주는 함의를 살 펴보았다.
