This study was conducted to examine how actual experiences related to the understanding of 'women' in Unification Thought come to appear. For this research, ‘women’ pastors in the FFPWPU were selected, and along with a basic survey, in-depth interviews were conducted. The result of this study shows that Unification Thought considers women as valuable beings resembling the form and attributes of God. In relation to men, they are defined as harmonious beings having the same value and fundamentally equal. This view of the Unification Thought can also be confirmed and emphasized through Dr. Hak Ja Han, who is currently the woman leading figure of the FFWPU. On the other hand, the reality seen through women pastors in the FFWPU is different. The current situation of the FFWPU shows that the proportion of women pastors is lower than that of other denominations, and women pastors’ positions are more concentrated on secondary responsibilities rather than main roles. Moreover, the experiences of women pastors revealed concretely such reality. Participants of this study had presented common discriminatory experiences, which mainly corresponded to discriminations in the perception of women pastors and discriminations in specific responsibilities. They had confessions of anxiety about their future, and they were in situations where they had to endure it alone. In this reality, they proposed meetings and education sessions to improve women pastors’ recognition. In addition, they also call for institutional supports to reduce career breaks among young women pastors due to childbirth and maternity.

본 연구는 통일사상의 ‘여성’이해를 바탕으로 관련된 실제의 경험들은 어떻게 나 타나고 있는지 살펴보고자 진행되었다. 이를 위해 연구대상을 가정연합의 ‘여성’목 회자로 정하고 이에 대한 기초적인 현황 조사와 함께 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 먼저, 통일사상은 여성을 신의 꼴과 속성을 닮아난 가치로운 존재로 여기며 남성과의 관계에서는 동일한 가치를 갖는 존재로서 근원적으로 평등하고, 조 화를 이뤄 살아가는 존재로 규정한다. 또한 통일사상의 이와 같은 견해는 현재 가정 연합의 여성 교조인 한학자 총재에 의해서 더욱 강조되고 있음도 확인할 수 있었다. 반면 가정연합의 여성 목회자를 통해 살펴 본 그 실제는 차이가 있다. 관련 현황 으로 볼 때 여성 목회자의 비율이 타교단과 비교하여 비슷하거나 낮은 수준이었으 며 여성 목회자의 지위 또한 중심보다는 주변에 편중되어 있으며 낮은 위치에 머물 고 있었다. 또한 여성 목회자들의 경험은 그 현실을 구체적으로 드러내고 있었다. 연구 대상자들은 공통적으로 차별적 경험을 가지고 있었으며 이는 주로 여성목회자 에 대한 인식의 차별과 구체적인 업무상의 차별에 해당하는 것이었다. 그녀들은 미 래상에 대한 불안한 고백을 안고 있었고 이를 혼자 감내해야 하는 상황에 있었다. 이런 현실 속에서 그녀들은 여성 목회자에 대한 인식 개선을 위해 여성목회자 모임 이나 교육을 제안하였고, 나아가 젊은 여성목회자들의 경력 단절을 줄일 수 있는 출 산/육아와 관련된 제도적 뒷받침을 요청하고 있었다.
