The purpose of this thesis is to comprehensively examine various expressions of the purpose of Heavenly Parent’s creation in the books of FFWPU. According to The Exposition of Divine Principle(EDP), Heavenly Parent created human beings for His joy, and it is generated through the completion of the three great blessings. On the other hand, according to Cheon Seong Gyeong(CSG) and Pyeong Hwa Gyeong(PHG), Heavenly Parent created human beings as the object of His love. He also created in order to wear a tangible body, make two sexes become one and spread His creation. I divided the purpose of Heavenly Parent’s creation into “the purpose of creation in a narrower meaning” and “the purpose of creation in a broader meaning”: the former refers to the direct reason why Heavenly Parent created human beings, and the latter refers to the hope of Heavenly Parent for human beings. In the aspect of “the purpose of creation in the narrower meaning,” the expressions of CSG and PHG complement the problems caused by that of EDP. On the o ther h and , in t he a spect o f “the p urpose o f creation in the broader meaning,” the difference between EDP and CSG/PHG was analyzed and reviewed interactively from each other’s point of view.

본 논문은 가정연합의 여러 문헌 속에 산재해 있는 하늘부모님의 인간창조목적 에 관한 다양한 표현들을 통합적으로 고찰하는 데 목적을 두었다. 『원리강론』에는 하늘부모님이 당신의 기쁨을 위해 인간을 창조하였고, 그 기쁨은 3대 축복의 완성을 통해 생성되는 것으로 표현되어 있다. 그런데 『천성경』과 『평화경』에는 하늘부모님 은 사랑의 상대를 얻고자 인간을 창조한 것으로 되어 있으며, 당신이 유형의 체를 입고 두 성(性)을 하나 되게 하여서 창조를 확산시키고자 인간을 창조한 것으로 표 현되어 있다. 논자는 하늘부모님의 인간창조목적을 편의상 두 가지로 구분하였다. 하나는 하늘 부모님이 인간을 창조하신 직접적 이유에 해당하는 ‘협의(狹義)의 창조목적’이며, 다른 하나는 인간에 대한 하늘부모님의 소망에 해당하는 ‘광의(廣義)의 창조목적’이 다. ‘협의의 창조목적’ 면에서 『천성경』·『평화경』의 표현은 『원리강론』의 기술방식이 야기할 수 있는 문제점을 보완한다는 점을 논하였고, ‘광의의 창조목적’ 면에서는 『원리강론』과 『천성경』·『평화경』의 차이를 서로의 관점에서 쌍방향으로 분석하고 검 토하였다.
