The boundaries between online and offline are becoming increasingly ambiguous. In the past, sex trafficking crimes were limited to offline backgrounds, but accessibility increased, and the age group also decreased due to the development of the online community. It is essential to explore the causes at the individual level for crime prevention, but also the effects of spatial characteristics. Cyberspace is an environment based on virtual reality and has become the background of prostitution. Therefore, research is needed to prevent juvenile prostitution that has spread to cyberspace. This study applied the prevention of juvenile prostitution in cyberspace to the CPTED model and discussed the possibility as a preventive tool. The random chat application in cyberspace supports access control, natural surveillance, and territoriality functions. However, the function of activity support cannot be found. Two proposals are made from a practical point of view to prevent youth prostitution in cyberspace. It is necessary to develop content that can effectively operate each concept by expanding the crime prevention factors of the CPTED model into cyberspace. Applications accompanied by personal authentication of text messages can be used as a factor to prevent prostitution for teenagers through access control. In addition, inappropriate behavior using anonymity in cyberspace suggests a different approach to the Personal Information Protection Act. In other words, to reduce secondary damage caused by personal information exposure, there should be a legal review that allows the use of encrypted information for crime prevention purposes. This study is meaningful because it attempted to apply the CPTED model in cyberspace, a crime prevention perspective. In addition, this study introduced a theory that could discuss a proactive response system for prostitution that goes beyond the limited area of cyberspace and leads offline. Through this, this study will help understand the development of programs that suppress the expansion of criminal spaces.

온라인과 오프라인의 경계가 점차 모호해지고 있다. 과거 성매매 범죄는 시·공간적 배경이 오프라인으로 한정되었으나 온라인 커뮤니티의 발달로 접근성이 높아지고, 연 령층 또한 낮아졌다. 범죄예방은 개인적 수준의 원인을 탐색하는 것도 중요하지만 물리 적 공간특성의 영향을 간과할 수 없다. 사이버공간은 가상현실에 기반한 물리적 환경으 로 성매매 배경의 유사성을 갖는다. 따라서 사이버공간으로 확산된 청소년 성매매 예방 을 위한 연구가 필요하다. 이 연구는 사이버공간에서 청소년 성매매의 억제를 CPTED 모델에 적용하고 예방 도구로써의 가능성을 논의하였다. 사이버 공간의 랜덤채팅 어플리케이션은 접근통제, 자연적 감시, 영역성과 관련된 기능을 지원한다. 그러나 활동지원의 기능은 찾아볼 수 없다. 사이버공간의 청소년 성매매 예방을 위하여 실제적 관점에서 두 가지를 제안한다. CPTED 모델의 범죄예방요소를 사이버공간으로 확대하여 각 개념이 효과적으로 운용 될 수 있는 콘텐츠 개발이 필요하다. 문자메시지 활용의 개인인증을 동반한 어플리케이 션은 접근통제를 통하여 청소년 성매매 예방요소가 될 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 사이 버 공간에서 익명성을 이용한 부적절한 행위는 개인정보보호법의 다른 접근을 시사한다. 즉 개인정보 노출에 의한 2차 피해를 줄이기 위하여 암호코드화 되어진 정보는 범 죄예방 목적으로써의 활용을 허용하는 법률적 검토가 있어야 한다. 이 연구는 사이버 공간에서 범죄예방론적 관점인 CPTED 모델을 적용하고자 하였 다는 것에 의의가 있다. 또한 사이버 공간이 갖는 한정된 영역을 벗어나 오프라인으로 이어지는 성매매에 대한 사전적 대응 체계를 논의 할 수 있는 이론을 소개하였다. 이 를 통해 범죄공간의 물리적 확대를 억제하는 프로그램 개발의 이해를 도울 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
