The purpose of this study was to seek improvement measures for China’s soccer industry. As a result, the SWOT analysis results for improvement measures for China’s soccer industry are as follows. First, the strengths of China’s soccer industry were found to be abundance of soccer human resources, diversified professional soccer and amateur clubs, revitalized China Super League, fostering of potential talents and progress in market value of soccer industry. Second, the weaknesses of China’s soccer industry were found to be system instability of soccer industry developments, lack of participants, lack of professional talents, unsoundness of professional soccer management and the lack of facilities in each region. Third, the opportunities of China’s soccer industry appeared to be the expansion of soccer-related facilities, consistent increase of soccer population, policies to become a powerful soccer country, fostering of soccer culture and organic connection of soccer matches. The threats to China’s soccer industry were found to be diversified sports events, wide spreading of sports for all, attraction of international sports events, various international exchange events and improving abilities of diversified advantages. Moreover, the strategic results of China’s soccer industry through the SWOT analysis are as follows. First, the SO strategies were found to be the completed management system and structure of soccer industry and strengthening of constructing legislation for soccer industry. Second, the ST strategies were found to be the fusion developments of soccer industry and related industries as well as improving the quality of key products in soccer industry. Third, the WO strategies were found to be investment expansions of soccer industry and the development of intangible industry. Fourth, the WT strategies were found to be developing youth soccer and fostering soccer industry related talents.

본 연구는 중국 축구산업 개선 방안을 모색하는데 목적을 두고 실시하였다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여 SWOT분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중국 축구산업의 강점은 풍부한 축구인적 자원, 다양화된 프로 축구 및 아마추어 클럽, 활성화된 중국 축구 슈퍼리그, 예비인재 육성, 축구산업의 시장가치 향상으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중국 축구산업의 약점은 축구산업 발전의 체제 불안전성, 축구 참여자의 부족, 전문화된 인력 부족, 프로축구 운영의 불건 전성, 각 지역의 시설 부족으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중국 축구산업의 기회는 축구관련 시설의 확충, 축구인구의 꾸준한 증가, 축구강국을 위한 정책, 축구문화의 육성, 축구경기의 유기적 연결로 나타났다. 중국 축구산업의 위협은 다양화된 스포츠 종목, 생활체육의 보급화, 국제 스포츠이벤트 유치, 다양한 국제교류행사, 다원화 이익의 능력 제고로 나타났다. SWOT분 석을 통한 중국 축구산업의 전략 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, SO전략은 축구산업의 법제건설의 강화와 축구산업의 구조와 관리체제 완성으로 나타났다. 둘째, ST전략은 축구산업 핵심제품 질의 제고 및 축구산업과 관련산업의 융합발전으로 나타났다. 셋째, WO전략은 축구산업의 투자확대와 무형산업의 개발로 나타났다. 넷째, WT전략은 축구산업 관리인재 육성과 청소년 축구의 발전으로 나타났다.
