Effect of Social Worker’s Psychosocial Health and Job Burnout on Occupational Vocational Consciousness

Purpose : This study is to confirm the effect of social and psychological health and job burnout of social workers on professional sense of calling. Methods : This study conducted a survey of 400 social workers nationwide receiving job training from september to november 2019. The subjects who responded to the survey were 356, and the final analysis target was 280 except when the response was unfaithful or there was a missing value. Results : In the regression analysis, in Model 3, there was a significant effect of age(β=0.267, p<.001), assistant manager(β=0.145, p=.027), social psychological health(β=-0.113, p=.048), and professional confidence among job burnout(β=0.219, p=.001). Conclusion : The following suggestions can be made through the results of this study. First, it is necessary to improve the working environment so that social workers can raise their sense of professional calling. Second, educational support necessary for self-development programs and job performance should be provided. Third, social workers are jobs with a lot of emotional labor by clients, so it is necessary to operate a healing program to improve social and psychological health.
