The purpose of this study was to classify a group of Korean adolescents into several latent subgroups with regard to psychopathic traits and behavior problems. Then, we investigated the factors affecting the classified latent profiles which include personal/social variables and parent-child relationship variables. For this, 400 adolescents aged 15 to 18 in community sample were recruited across country. We used Inventory of Callous-Unemotional Traits(ICU), Youth Psychopathic traits Inventory(YPI), Strength and Difficulthies Questionnaire (SDQ-Kr). The 3 step approach were used, which is recently regarded as a more systematic statistical approach by controlling classification errors in the mixed model. As a result, the classified potential profiles were named ‘average aspects group’, ‘social indifference group’ and ‘high-level callousness group’. Finally, we discussed the direction for future research and the limitations of the research.

본 연구는 전국 만 15~18세 일반 청소년 400명을 대상으로 사이코패시 성격특성과 문제행동에 따라 3단계 접근법(3-step) 을 통해 잠재 프로파일을 분류하고, 분류된 프로파일에 영향을 미치는 개인적 및 사회적 변인(성별, 비행ㆍ일탈 경험, 정신건강 문제, 주양육자, 학교 정규교육 과정, 학교 성적 수준), 부모-자 녀 관계 요인의 영향력을 검증하였다. 청소년 사이코패시 성격특 성과 문제행동에 따른 잠재 프로파일 분석을 위해 냉담-무정서 특성 척도(Inventory of Callous-Unemotional Traits; ICU), YPI(Youth Psychopathic traits Inventory), SDQ-Kr(Strength and Difficulthies Questionnaire) 척도를 사용하였다. 분석 결 과, 잠재 프로파일은 3개일 때 가장 적합하게 나타났고, 각각을 ‘일반 청소년 유형’, ‘사회적 무관심 유형’, ‘높은 냉담성 유형’으 로 명명하였다. 이어 각 프로파일별 영향요인을 탐색한 결과, 성 별, 나이, 정신건강 문제, 부모-자녀 관계 요인(관계 좌절감, 훈 육, 관여, 의사소통)에서 유의미한 결과를 얻었다. 지금까지 대다 수의 국내 사이코패스 연구는 성격구조의 타당성과 평가도구 비교검증 연구에 초점이 맞추어져 있었으나, 본 연구는 청소년을 대상으로 사이코패스적 성격특성에 따른 잠재 프로파일 하위유 형을 구분하고 이에 따른 예측변인을 경험적으로 탐색해봄으로 써 국내 청소년 사이코패스 하위 잠재특성 연구의 학문적인 기 초를 제공하였다. 또한 최근 혼합모형에서 분류오차를 통제함으 로써 보다 체계적인 통계적 접근법으로 주목받고 있는 3단계 접 근법(3-step)을 실시하여 기존 연구의 방법론적 관점을 확장시 키는 데 기여하였다. 마지막으로 추후 연구를 위한 방향과 연구 의 제한점을 논의하였다.
