This study examined the factors and trends of migration background youth's school maladjustment with a total of 52 doctoral and academic papers conducted from 2006 to August 2021. The number of foreigners in Korea continues to increase, and we tried to find alternatives by examining the difficulties their children experience in a new environment and identifying the difficulties related to school maladjustment. Looking at the research results, first, studies related to migrant youth were being conducted interdisciplinary in various departments. Second, it was confirmed that the number of papers to be analyzed was higher than that of students and parents, or two groups such as teachers or multicultural experts. Third, in the research method, 20 (38.5%) quantitative studies and 17 (32.7%) qualitative studies such as life history studies, evidence theory, and case studies accounted for 71.2% of all research methods. Fourth, the contents of the study were 13 papers on environmental factors, 13 policy studies, 12 psychological and emotional contents, 5 social and cultural issues, and 5 family relations.,Among them, psychological and emotional contents, environmental factors and policy research accounted for 73.1% of the total.,Fifth, the theme words related to titles of migrant background youth, the theme words related to psychological, emotional, and counseling, attitude and values accounted for 60.7% of the total, indicating that many related theme words are being studied. This study is significant in that it analyzes trends related to school maladjustment factors of migrant background adolescents since 2006, shortly after school counselors were assigned, and suggests improvement measures to prevent and check emotional difficulties caused by migrant background adolescents.

본 연구는 이주배경청소년의 학교부적응과 관련하여 2006년부터 2021년 8월까지 수행된 박사논문과 학술논문 총 52편을 대상으로 이주배경청소년의 학교부적응의 요 인과 동향을 살펴보았다. 국내 외국인의 수가 계속해서 증가하고 있으며, 이들의 자녀 들이 새로운 환경에서 경험하게 되는 어려움을 살펴보고 그 중 학교부적응과 관련한 어려움을 파악하여 대안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 이주배경 청소년과 관련된 연구들이 다양한 학과에서 학제간으로 진행되고 있었다. 둘째, 연구 대상은 학생과 부모, 또는 교사나 다문화전문가와 같이 두 집단을 연구대상으로 하는 경우가 있어서 분석대상의 논문 수보다 더 많다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 연구 방법에서는 양적연구가 20편 (38.5%), 생애사연구와 근거이론 및 사례연구 등 질적 연 구가 17편(32.7%)을 차지하여 양적연구와 질적 연구가 전체 연구방법 중 71.2%로 이 루어지고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 연구내용으로는 환경요인을 다룬 논문은 13 편, 정책 연구 13편, 심리․정서적인 내용은 12편, 사회․문화는 5편, 가족관계는 5편 등의 순으로 나타났다. 이 중에서 심리․정서적인 내용과 환경적인 요인 및 정책 연구가 차지 하는 비중이 전체의 73.1%를 차지하였다. 다섯째, 이주배경청소년의 호칭 관련 주제어 와 심리․정서․상담에 관한 주제어, 태도 및 가치관에 관한 주제어가 전체 60.7%를 차지 하여 이와 관련된 주제어가 많이 연구되고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 학교 상담자가 배치된 직후인 2006년 이후의 이주배경청소년의 학교부적응 요인 관련 동향 분석을 했다는 점과 이주배경청소년의 학교부적응으로 인한 정서적인 어려움을 사전 에 예방하고 점검하도록 개선책을 제시하고 있다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.
