The static, dynamic, and navigation-related information of the vessel collected from the Automatic Ship Identification System (AIS) for VTS control has become an essential element in coastal and port control service. However, there are errors in the AIS data collected in VTS due to technical and institutional inadequacies, but research on the error status analysis of the generated data is insufficient. Therefore, this Study analyzes which AIS data mainly causes errors and how much environmental influence the errors occur through a survey of VTS Operators who receive AIS data in a stable environment and continuously use them for work. As a result, it was found that although there are some differences in environmental impact, errors mainly occur in data not input by the user, such as the ship's heading and position. In order to reduce this specific AIS data error, it is expected that some problems can be solved if the verification process for AIS data on the ship is introduced and the policy supplement for the AIS operation of the ship's navigator and VTS Operator is paralleled.

VTS 관제를 위해 선박자동식별장치(AIS)로부터 수집한 선박의 정적, 동적 및 항 해관련 정보는 연안 및 항만 관제에 있어 필수적인 요소로 자리 잡았다. 그러나 기 술적, 제도적 미비로 인하여 VTS에 수집된 AIS 데이터에는 오류가 발생되고 있으나 발생된 데이터의 오류 현황 분석에 대해서는 연구가 미진하다. 따라서 본 논문은 AIS 데이터를 안정된 환경에서 수신하여 지속적으로 업무에 이용하는 VTS 관제사 를 대상으로 설문을 통하여 어떠한 AIS 데이터에서 주로 오류가 발생하고 있는지와 오류가 발생하는 환경적 영향은 어느 정도 되는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 환경적 영 향에 일부 차이가 있으나 선박의 선수방위 및 위치 등의 사용자가 입력하지 않는 데 이터에서 주로 오류가 발생함을 파악하였다. 이러한 특정 AIS 데이터 오류를 줄이기 위해서는 선박에서의 AIS 데이터에 관한 검증 프로세스 도입과 선박 항해사 및 VTS 관제사의 AIS 운용에 대한 정책적 보완이 병행되면 일부 해결할 수 있을 것으 로 기대된다.
