With reduction in the number of students resulting from a low birth rate, the Ministry of Education has been requesting the changes of universities by the University Structural Reform Assessment. Thus, universities has been trying various plans to raise the educational quality and structural reform for their competitive power, and art college is no exception. Especially, music colleges of classic branch organizing one set of music in art college try to change and progress through various trials. This study conducted the analysis to improve and develop the vocal arts curriculum of college of music, analysing the curriculum cases of domestic colleges of music and identifying how music theory and practical skills are conducted, and checking out what new subjects have been developed and applied to. In addition, through case analysis of foreign colleges of music, it is verified that domestic colleges of music have lower cases for various fields than those of foreign colleges and they have more practical subjects for art industry scenes. Based on these analysis, comparison analysis for curriculum of domestic and foreign colleges of music are carried out, and need for research and development at working-level, real, and practical subjects in domestic colleges of music are reconfirmed. The curriculum of domestic colleges of music with over 100 years of history has mainly multicorrelated curriculum centered on performers, which is true it has generated a lot of great musicians through those educational course. However, it is also true that those have been limited factors, on the other hand, for graduates to select their careers for the future. I want to suggest the curriculum to raise the synthetic artists in the fast changing modern society, considering how the curriculum of vocal arts in college of music will be conducted to train art talents in various classic fields from current curriculum for training performers.

출산율 저하에 따른 학령인구 감소와 함께 교육부는 대학구조개혁 평가를 통해서 대학의 변화를 요구 하고 있다. 이에 따라 대학은 경쟁력을 갖추기 위해 자체적인 대학 구조 변화와 교육의 질을 높이기 위 한 다양한 시도를 하고 있으며, 이는 예술대학도 예외는 아니다. 특히 예술대학 가운데 음악의 한 축을 담당하고 있는 클래식 분야의 음악대학에서도 여러 가지 시도들을 통해서 변화하고 발전하기 위한 노력 을 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 음악대학 성악전공 교과과정을 개선하고 개발하기 위한 분석을 실시하였는 데, 먼저 국내 음악대학의 교과과정 사례들을 분석하여 음악 이론과 실기 교육이 어떻게 이뤄지고 있는 지를 확인하였고 어떠한 새로운 과목들이 개발·적용되고 있는지 파악하였다. 또한, 해외 음악대학 사례 분석을 통해서도 국내 음악대학에 비해 매우 다양한 분야의 수업들이 진행되고 있으며 예술 산업 현장에 필요한 실제적 교과목들이 운영되고 있는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 국내외 음악대학 성 악전공 교과과정을 비교 분석하였고 국내 음악대학에서도 보다 실무적이고 실제적이고 실용적인 교과목 에 대한 연구와 개발이 필요함을 재확인할 수 있었다. 약 100여 년의 역사를 통해 만들어진 국내 음악대 학의 교과과정은 실연자 위주의 교육 과정으로 다채롭게 구성되어 있으며, 이를 통해 오랜 시간 많은 훌 륭한 음악인을 배출해 낸 것이 사실이다. 하지만 다른 한편으로 보면 졸업 후 학생들의 진로 선택에 있 어 매우 제한적이기도 한 것이다. 연주자 양성을 위한 현 교과과정에서 클래식 분야의 보다 다양한 예술 인 인재양성을 위해 음악대학 성악전공 교과과정이 어떻게 이뤄져야 하는지 고찰해보고 빠르게 변화하 는 현대 사회에서 필요로 하는 종합 예술인을 키워내기 위한 교과과정을 제안해 보고자 한다. 더불어 본 연구에서는 국내외 음악대학 성악전공의 교과과정 분석을 통해 현재 국내 음악대학 교과과정이 공연 산 업 현장에 필요한 직무 능력과 예술인으로서의 심화 능력을 키우기 위한 교과과정으로 개선·발전될 수 있는 방법을 도출하는데 그 목적이 있다.
