In the early period, coins and other objects were used as carriers of Chinese calligraphy to spread indirectly to Sri Lanka. In the early Ming Dynasty, Zheng He spread stone inscription, one of the main forms of Chinese calligraphy, to Sri Lanka.Subsequently, the Prince of Sri Lanka came to China, and his later generations began to accept and learn Chinese calligraphy, Shi Tengyun, the earliest Sri Lankan-born calligrapher is namely one of them.Since the 21st century, China and Sri Lanka have launched a two-dimensional calligraphy communication in a true sense, in the forms of calligraphy lectures, calligraphy tours, calligraphy competitions, calligraphy gifts, calligraphy study and calligraphy collection, etc.It can be seen that the cummunication of calligraphy between China and Sri Lanka is becoming more and more frequent.
