The attempt to share a space is not just confined to the business offices for startup and venture entrepreneurs or the underused spaces of the schools for the local community, but also it tends to be expanded to the 'adoratory sharing' - the concept of sharing one adoratory among more than two churches. In particular, it is obvious that stereoscopic and multifarious plans of sharing adoratory are on the rise, since the most serious problem in the church management during the COVID-19 situation is the financial burden. Under the circumstance that individual churches are inclined to share the worship area with diverse and various measures, Northern Seoul Presbytery, which is enlisted under the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Korea, requested the General Assembly to provide an institutional strategy or plan regarding 'the adoratory sharing system'. Whereupon, this article has examined on the biblical, humanistic, and socio-economic meanings of the venue and the space, along with the transition process of the Christian adoratory and worship areas through the literature research. Also, the documents regarding the shared space discussed in the existing economic aspects will be studied in order to set the missional and pastoral orientation of 'the adoratory as the shared space'. Meanwhile, during the orientation setting process of 'the adoratory sharing system', the possibility and the action plan of the adoratory sharing will be considered in the concept of the 'space' in respect of the primary vocation of the church -publicity, missional expandability, faith identity formation, etc.- beyond the economic value of the space. The journey to find the orientation of 'the adoratory sharing system' in the theological, missional, and pastoral perspectives ut supra promptly and practically meets the demands of the Korean churches that are struggling under the COVID-19.

공간을 공유하고자 하는 시도는 창업을 위한 비즈니스 공간, 지역주민 과 유휴공간을 공유하려는 학교 영역에만 제한하지 않고, 교회들 사이에서 도 하나의 예배공간을 두 개 이상의 교회가 함께 사용하는 ‘예배당 공유’ 개 념으로도 이어지고 있다. 특히 코로나19를 지나면서 교회운영의 어려움이 가중되고 있는 상황에서 재정적인 부담이 가장 심각한 문제인 까닭에 예배 공간 공유를 위한 방안들이 입체적으로 계속 확산하는 추세다. 그리고 개 교회적으로 예배공간을 공유하는 양상들이 이렇게 다양하게 전개되고 있 는 상황에서 총회 산하 서울북노회가 ‘예배공간 공유제’에 대한 제도적 방 안 마련을 총회에 요청한 바 있다. 이에 필자는 먼저 공간 및 장소에 대한 성경적, 인문학적, 사회·경제적 의미와 예배공간, 기독교 예배장소의 변 천과정을 문헌연구를 통해 살펴보고자 한다. 아울러 ‘공유공간으로서 예배 장소’에 대한 선교적·목회적 방향성을 찾기 위해서 기존 경제학 관점에서 활발히 논의되어 온 공유공간에 대한 문헌을 연구할 것이다. 한편, ‘예배공 간 공유제’의 방향을 설정하되 공간의 경제적 가치에만 머물지 않고, 교회 의 본래 사명- 공공성, 선교적 확장성, 신앙 정체성 형성 등-의 관점에서 ‘장소’ 개념을 바탕으로 예배 장소의 공유가능성과 실행방안을 제안하고자 한다. 위와 같이 ‘예배공간 공유제’에 대해 신학적, 선교적, 목회적 관점에 서 그 방향성을 찾아가는 작업은 코로나19를 지나고 있는 한국교회의 시대 적 요청에 부응하는 실제적이고 의미 있는 연구라 하겠다.
