This study aimed to test the mediating effect of multicultural parents’ career-related supports and multicultural adolescents’ perceived career barriers, respectively, in the relationship between multicultural parents’ parenting efficacy and multicultural adolescents’ decidedness. For this purpose, data were extracted from 1,175 (boys: 579, girls: 596) from “Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (2018)” of National Youth Policy Institute. Before testing hypotheses, we estimated the reliability of scales and descriptive statistics of focal variables and then conducted correlation analyses between focal variables. PROCESS Macro was used for hypothesis testing. The results were as follows. First, multicultural parents’ parenting efficacy is not significantly associated with multicultural adolescents’ decidedness. Second, multicultural parents’ career-related supports significantly mediated the relationship between multicultural parents’ parenting efficacy and multicultural adolescents’ decidedness. Third, multicultural adolescents’ perceived career barriers significantly mediated the relationship between multicultural parents’ parenting efficacy and multicultural adolescents’ decidedness. All results indicate a need to consider multicultural parents’ career-related supports and multicultural adolescents’ perceived career barriers when developing career-related program to enhance career decidedness.

본 연구의 목적은 다문화 학부모의 진로지지와 다문화 청소년의 진로장벽 인식이 다문화 학 부모의 양육효능감과 다문화 청소년의 진로결정성의 관계에 미치는 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 다문화 청소년 패널 조사(Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study) 중 8차 본조사(2018년도)를 활용하였다. 본 자료를 활용하여 주요 변인 들의 기술통계 및 상관분석을 실시한 후, 본 연구의 가설을 검증하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화 학부모의 양육효능감은 다문화 청소년의 진로결정성에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 다문화 학부모의 진로지지는 다문화 학부모의 양육효능감과 다문화 청 소년의 진로결정성의 관계에 유의미한 매개효과를 보였다. 셋째, 다문화 청소년의 진로장벽 인식은 다문화 학부모의 양육효능감과 다문화 청소년의 진로결정성의 관계에 유의미한 매개 효과를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다문화 청소년의 진로결정성을 지원하는 진로개발 프로그 램을 개발할 때 다문화 학부모의 진로지지와 자녀의 진로장벽 인식을 고려할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
