This is an exploratory study to lay the foundation for the development of a new educational model in the rapid transition to remote learning in a crisis situation caused by COVID-19. This study presents the five directions of education in remote learning era: contact, context, communication, collaboration, and change. Key issues related to the new educational direction were discussed in relation to the digital gap, assessment, and learner competency. In addition, ideas for alternative approach to education were also presented. This study proposes to conduct empirical research to find new, sustainable, and new educational opportunities that can surpass previous experiences as a follow-up study.

본 논문은 비대면 교육 상황의 현안을 진단해보고 이에 대응하기 위한 새로운 교육모형 개발을 위한 기 초를 마련하기 위한 탐색 연구이다. COVID-19 글로벌 팬데믹으로 인한 위기 상황에서 비대면교육으로의 급격한 전환은 교육 현장에 혼란과 도전을 야기했다. 비대면시대가 가져올 교육의 변화는 아직 그 구조를 쉽게 가늠하기 는 어려운 시점이며 이 상황이 아직 완전히 해결되지 않았지만, 언제든 반복될 수 있는 상황이다. 이 연구는 이론 연구를 통해 비대면시대 교육의 방향을 연결, 맥락화, 의사소통, 협력, 변화의 다섯 가지로 제시하고 있다. 한편 제 시된 새로운 교육 방향과 관련된 주요 이슈로 디지털격차, 평가, 학습자 역량과 관련하여 논의하였으며 이에 대한 대안을 마련하기 위한 아이디어도 아울러 제시하였다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 실증연구를 수행하여 새롭고 지속 가능하며 이전의 경험을 뛰어넘을 수 있는 새로운 교육 기회를 모색하는 것을 후속 연구로 제안한다.
