The purpose of this study was to compare its characteristics from a big data perspective on defense white paper publishers that can learn the defense policy stance of four governments from 2003 Roh Moo-hyun to 2021 Moon Jae-in government. The analysis tool used the big data analysis tool, Textom, and visualization-driven analysis methods such as word cloud, bar chart, network graph, and matrix chart. As a result, the frequency of terms centered on each government was different. In particular, as a result of the matrix analysis, the progressive government deleted the main enemy concept of North Korea and maintained reconciliation and cooperation policies, with terms indicating this trend centered on the defense white paper. However, the conservative government, which stipulated North Korea as its main enemy, showed high centrality in North Korea and nuclear weapons. In conclusion, the liberal and conservative governments' philosophy on North Korea policy differed significantly in terms of quantities, as did previous research results.

본 연구의 목적은 2003년 노무현정부에서 2021년 문재인정부까지 4개 정부의 국방 정책 기조를 알 수 있는 국방백서 발간사를 빅데이터 관점에서 각 정부가 지향하고 있는 대북정책이 어떻게 반영되어 있는지를 계량 적으로 비교 평가하여 정부별 특징을 분석하였다. 빅데이터 분석 도구인 텍스톰(Textom)을 이용하였으며, 워드 크라우드(word cloud), 바 차트(bar chart), 네트워크 그래프(network graph), 매트릭스 차트(matric chart) 등 시 각화 중심의 분석 방법을 이용하였다. 그 결과 정부별로 중심이 되는 용어의 출현 빈도가 달랐다. 특히, 매트릭스 분석 결과, 진보정부는 북한에 대한 주적 개념을 삭제하고 화해 협력 정책을 견지하였는데 이러한 기조를 나타내 는 용어가 국방백서에서 중심으로 나타났다. 하지만 북한을 주적으로 명기한 보수정부는 북한이나 핵 등이 높은 중심성을 보였다. 결론적으로 진보정부와 보수정부의 대북정책에 대한 철학이 기존 선행연구 결과와 동일하게 계 량적 측면에서도 큰 차이를 보였다.
