The intangible cultural heritage of the Korean ethnic group in China contains the spiritual values, ways of thinking, and cultural consciousness of the Korean Ethnic group in China, which embodies the vitality and creativity. After joining the UNESCO “Convention on the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage” in 2004, China began to focus on protecting intangible cultural heritage of minorities. Although the project to protect the intangible cultural heritage of the Korean ethnic group in China has also made progress, there are still many shortcomings. This study focuses on Yanbian, a gathering area of the Korean ethnic group in China, to grasp the current state of protection of intangible cultural heritage of the Korean ethnic group in China and to investigate the current problems of protection. In addition, the government proposed specific protection methods such as improving the laws and systems of intangible cultural heritage, ensuring support for protection costs, expanding the training of successors and strengthening the participation of ordinary citizens.

중국 조선족무형문화유산은 조선족특유의 정신적 가치와 사유방식 그리고 문화의식이 깃들 어 있고 조선족의 특유한 생명력과 창조력을 체현하고 있다. 2004년 중국은 유네스코 <무형문 화유산보호협약>에 가입한 이래 소수민족무형문화유산에 대한 보호사업을 중시하기 시작하였 고 중국 소수민족의 하나인 조선족 무형문화유산보호사업에도 진척을 가하여 일정한 성과를 거두었지만 아직도 여러 가지 부족점이 존재한다. 논문은 중국 조선족집결지역인 연변을 중심 으로 조선족무형문화유산의 보호현황을 살펴보고 현재 보호 상의 문제점을 분석한 동시에 조 선족무형문화유산에 관한 법령과 제도를 개선하고 선정과 동시에 보호를 중시하며 보호경비지 원을 보장하고 전승대오를 확대하며 사회민중의 참여를 강화하는 등 구체적인 보호방안을 제 시하였다.
