Cities are complex spaces such as social and economic activities, and the merit and private sectors are composed of various forms to determine the characteristics of the entire city. Among them, open spaces can be viewed as private spaces created on private land or public spaces for citizens. Currently, as urban areas become more and more dense and developed, the importance of open spaces is becoming more important over time, and related systems and laws are also improving. Among them, open space guidelines are executable in configuring open space, but they do not follow their functions even though they have guidelines. In this study, laws and systems related to actual open space are reviewed, and each notification guideline is investigated and analyzed. Next, through comparative analysis of existing studies and guidelines in open spaces, the direction of open spaces was presented by dividing them into accessibility, safety, convenience, activity, locality, identity, and sustainability.

도시는 사회 경제활동 등 복합적으로 이루어 지는 공간으로 공적의 영역과 사적의 영역이 다양한 형태로 구성되어 도시 전체의 성격을 결정 짓게 된다. 그 중 공개공지는 사유지에 조성된 사적공간이나 시민들을 위한 공공공간으로도 볼 수 있다. 현재 도심이 점차 고밀도, 고도화가 되어감에 따라 공개공지의 중요성은 시간이 흐를수록 그 의미가 중요해지고 있으며, 관련 제도 및 법령 또한 개선되고 있다. 그 중 공개공지 가이드라인은 공개공지 조성에 있어 실행력을 가지고 있으나 가이드라인이 있음에도 불구하고 아직까지 그 기능을 따라가지 못하는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 실제 공개공지 관련된 법률 및 제도를 살펴보고 각 공개공지 가이드라인을 조사 및 분석한다. 그 다음 공 개공지 선행연구와 가이드라인을 비교 분석을 통해 접근성, 안전성·편의성, 활동성, 지역성·정체성, 지속가능성으로 분류 하여 공개공지의 방향성을 제시하였다.
