In this study, the validity and reliability of gas analysis of K4b2 Aqua Trainer Snorkel equipment was sought when swimming was conducted on eight amateur youth swimmers in a real underwater field. In order to investigate the K4b2 AquaTrainer Snorkel’s validity, McMaster Ergometer Protocol was used to apply progressive overload on the Ergometer bike. In testing for validity, two test were run in order to measure the values of respiratory variables. Test 1 used the standard frontal mask of the K4b2 apparatus while Test 2 used the AquaTrainer Snorkel. The results from these test were then compared and analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test, Spearman Correlation Analysis, and Bland & Altman plots. In testing for reliability, two test were run in order to measure the values of respiratory variables. For the first test each teenager swam a 50m freestyle using an AquaTrainer Snorkel. For the second test the identical process was done. After the second test was completed, the results from both test were compared and analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test and Bland & Altman plots. After the experiment, the following conclusion had been made: By integrating all the results surveyed throughout the research(respiratory frequency, pulmonary ventilation, oxygen uptake, carbon dioxide production, oxygen uptake/weight, energy consumption per minute) we can conclude that the AquaTrainer Snorkel’s reliability and validity has no measurable differences and is suitable for actual use.

본 연구에서는 실제 수중 현장에서 아마추어 청소년 수영선수 8명을 대상으로 수영을 시행할 시 K4b2 Aqua Trainer Snorkel 장비의 가스분석에 대한 타당도 및 신뢰도를 구명하고자 하였다. 타당도 검증을 하기 위해 자전거 Ergometer에서 Mcmaster Ergometer Protocol로 점증부하를 실시하였다. 1차 검사는 K4b2 장비의 준거인 기존 안 면마스크를 착용하여 호흡계 변인들의 결과 값과 2차 검사는 K4b2 장비에 AquaTrainer Snorkel를 착용하여 같은 방식 으로 얻은 호흡계 변인들의 결과 값을 Wilcoxon 부호순위 검정으로 비교 분석하고 AquaTrainer Snorkel의 관련성을 검 증하기 위해 Spearman 상관분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 Bland & Altman plots으로 오차범위결과를 분석하였다. 신뢰도 검증은 25m 수영장에서 K4b2에 AquaTrainer Snorkel를 착용 하여 2일간 같은 장소에서 자유형으로 50m 거리를 실 험하여 측정된 호흡계 변인들을 1차 결과 값과 재검사 결과 값을 Wilcoxon 부호순위 검정으로 비교 분석하였고 Bland & Altman plots으로 오차결과범위를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. AquaTrainer Snorkel 장비의 타당도 및 신뢰도 측정에서 6가지 변인(호흡계수, 환기량, 산소섭취량, 이산화탄소 배출 량, 체중 당 산소섭취량, 분당 에너지 소모량) 모두 차이가 없는 것으로 나타나 수중 현장에서의 사용이 용이하다.
