Nursing facilities for senior citizens are subject to frequent safety accidents due to the characteristics of the facilities, and given the characteristics of the facilities’ residents, even small risk accidents impact the senior citizens, and hence, the damages are much larger relative to other facilities. A systematic safety management for safety may be said to be extremely crucial since safety accidents at such facilities could negatively impact the health of the residents as well as the stability of the facilities’ operation. This study is one which aims to explore the intervention methods of improving the responsive knowledge on the safety accidents at the nursing facilities for senior citizens, which also has the purposes of examining what differences in the attitude of caring for senior citizens in the mediating path which influences the responsive knowledge of safety accidents through the regulated mediation effect, and of providing practical recommendations as per the research results. The main research results and implications are such that, first, in the simple mediation model where the regulation variable of the attitude of caring for senior citizens was not input, the safety accidents’ occurrence factor turned out to have a significantly direct effect on the level of awareness for the safety accidents and the responsive knowledge for the safety accidents. Second, as for the effect of the safety accidents’ occurrence factors on the level of awareness of safety accidents, the positive effect of the safety accidents’ occurrence factors on level of awareness of safety accident was promoted for the attitude of caring for senior citizens. Third, it was confirmed that the effect of the safety accidents' occurrence factor on responsive knowledge of safety accidents through the level of awareness of safety accident varies according to the level of attitude of caring for senior citizens. Accordingly, based on the research results, the following are the practical recommendations offered. First, development of the data for safety management and preparation of a systematic monitoring through the improvement of the facility environment for the safety accident factor and the continuous monitoring of accident occurrence factor are required. Second, deployment of personnel in charge of the safety management and reflection of the charges for long-term care are required. Third, since it was confirmed that the effect of safety accidents’ occurrence factor on the responsive knowledge of safety accidents through the level of awareness of safety accidents varies according to the level of attitude of caring for senior citizens, a system for the provision of continued super vision for the caring services of the nursing caregivers is required.

본 연구는 노인요양시설의 종사자들이 인식하는 안전사고 발생요인이 안전사고에 대한 인식사고를 통해 안 전사고 대응지식에 영향을 미치는 매개경로에서 노인돌봄태도에 따른 차이가 나타나는지 조절된 매개효과를 통 해 살펴보고, 연구결과에 따른 실천적 제언을 하는 것이 목적이다. 연구방법은 설문지를 통한 조사연구이고, 충 북의 어느 시 지역 요양보호사 321명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과와 함의는 첫째 안전사고 발생요인 은 안전사고 인식수준과 안전사고 대응지식에 대하여 유의미한 직접효과를 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 안 전사고 발생요인이 안전사고 인식수준에 미치는 정(+)적 효과가 촉진되었다. 셋째, 안전사고 대응지식에 미치는 효과가 노인돌봄태도의 수준에 따라 달라짐을 확인하였다. 연구결과를 토대로 실천적 제언은 첫째, 안전관리를 위한 자료 구축 및 체계적인 모니터링이 요구된다. 둘 째, 안전관리 전담인력 배치와 장기요양 수가의 반영이 요구된다. 셋째, 요양보호사들의 돌봄서비스에 대한 지 속적인 슈퍼비전 제공을 위한 체계가 요구된다.
