In this study, unlike the English and American legal system where profiling has developed, we wanted to examine some problems of profiling in Korea. Through this regard, we presented the direction that Korea's profiling should go forward and wanted to express expectations for future use of profiling. Specifically, problems with Korea's profiling have been identified as problems with organization and system operations and manpower, lack of front-line police understanding of profiling, and the effectiveness of profiling. Based on these problems, we wanted to present improvements in Korea's profiling. First, improvements regarding reorganization of organizations and systems and recruitment of human resources were proposed. Second, we present professional talent advancement development and training. Finally, we proposed a way to mitigate the negative perception of profiling through methods such as active utilization of profiling in the investigative field. Finally, we present the development and utilization of future profiling.

본 연구에서는 프로파일링이 발전한 영미법계와 달리, 우리나라 프로파일링이 갖는 문 제점을 파악하고자 했다. 이러한 고찰을 통해 우리나라 프로파일링이 나아가야 할 방 향성을 제시하였으며 추후 프로파일링 활용에 대한 기대를 나타내고자 했다. 구체적으 로, 우리나라 프로파일링의 문제점은 조직 및 시스템 운용과 인력 문제, 프로파일링에 대한 일선 경찰관들의 이해 부족, 프로파일링의 실효성에 대한 문제가 있는 것으로 확 인됐다. 이와 같은 문제점을 바탕으로 우리나라 프로파일링의 개선점을 제시하고자 했 다. 첫 번째, 조직 및 시스템 개편과 인력 채용에 관한 개선점을 제안하였다. 두 번 째, 전문적인 인재 고도화 개발 및 훈련을 제시하였다. 마지막으로, 프로파일링의 실 효성에 대한 부정적 의문을 개선할 필요성을 제기하였다. 즉, 수사현장에서 프로파일 링의 적극 활용 등과 같은 방법을 통해 프로파일링의 인식을 완화할 방법을 제안하였 다. 마지막으로 추후 프로파일링의 발전 및 활용 가능성을 제시하였다.
