What is confirmed to be a global Corona pandemic is that the risk of Corona 19 is not only a problem for one country, but it should be solved through mutual cooperation at the global level. Ulrich Beck’s methodological globalism and educational prescriptions as a countermeasure to a global risk society are also valid for the Corona crisis and problem solving. Beck proposes establishing a knowledge society and global citizenship education to cope with global risk society. His proposal for a curriculum could be a new direction and alternative to global citizenship education at universities, along with the theoretical Basis for global citizenship education. Most universities in Korea have decided to foster talented people with global competence for educational purposes, but global citizenship education is not being conducted properly. From Beck’s methodological globalism point of view, it is necessary to open a general education subject of global citizenship education for international understanding and cosmopolitan practice. It also required the development of international organizations-related subjects, the strengthening of project education methods to strengthen sub-political competence, curriculum and extracurricular activities design, practical ecological curriculum, and the establishment of an integrated operating system for global citizenship education.

글로벌 차원의 코로나 대유행으로 확인되는 것은 코로나 19의 위험이 한 나라만 의 문제가 아니며 글로벌 차원의 상호협력을 통해 대응하며 해결해야 한다는 점이 다. 울리히 벡의 글로벌 위험사회에 대한 대응책으로서 방법론적 세계주의와 교육 적 처방은 코로나 사태와 문제해결에도 유효하다. 벡은 글로벌 위험사회에 대응하 기 위해 지식사회의 구축과 세계시민교육을 제안한다. 그의 교육과정에 대한 제안 은 세계시민교육의 이론적 근거와 함께 대학의 세계시민교육에 대한 새로운 방향 과 대안이 될 수 있다. 국내의 대부분의 대학이 글로벌 역량을 가진 인재양성을 교 육의 목적으로 정했으나 세계시민교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 벡의 방법 론적 세계주의의 관점에서 세계이해와 시민적 실천을 위한 세계시민교육의 공통교 과목의 개설이 필요하다. 또한 국제기구 관련 교과목의 계발, 하위 정치역량 강화 를 위한 프로젝트 교육방법의 강화, 실천주의적 생태교육과정, 교과-비교과 교육 과정 설계와 세계시민교육을 위한 통합운영체계의 구축이 요구된다.
