This research was to analyze Chansoo Lee’s sermons, the senior pastor of the Bundang Woori Church, from the perspective in preaching of counseling to find a pastoral alternative for the Korean church pulpit. The results of the study about his sermons were as follows. First, preaching that focuses on problem solving, second, preaching that uses counseling techniques, third, preaching that concentrates on healing, fourth, preaching that seeks actual behavioral change, and fifth, preaching that reinterprets life from the perspective of the Bible. As Lee's sermons included all five elements of counseling, so his sermons could be defined as preaching of counseling. Preaching of counseling could be a suitable alternative for the pulpit of today's Korean Church as the expectations for the Word have disappeared, even though Fosdick and Chansoo Lee's churches have had believers line up to enter the church. This was because preaching of counseling gave them the desire to address their problems by listening to the sermon, which led them to focus on the preaching and helped them to look forward to preaching with confidence that it would be so. Furthermore, Lee proved through his preaching and ministry that preaching of counseling allows the restored believers to live as wounded healers who redeem their neighbors as well as the world. In this respect, preaching of counseling could provide the Korean Church with an excellent alternative method that will heal and renew its pulpit, as it has lost the influence of the Gospel on social transformation and made the message immersed in only one's success by basing the sermon on an incorrect biblical interpretation. This research diagnosed the limitations of the previous studies about Lee’s sermons, identifying the trend that they were unable to analyze the motivation or principle of the sermons by listing only their characteristics. So this research analyzed his preaching from this perspective considering preaching of counseling as pivot principle in Lee's preaching. This research presented that what aspects of Lee's preaching can be defined as preaching of counseling and how could this type of preaching act as a catalyst in restoring the pulpit of the Korean Church today. This study was a literature study. But in order for study on this subject to improve on a more academic level, if we would confirm the significant difference indicating the increase or decrease through a test that compares pretest which analyzes the psycho-spiritual state before listening to Lee's sermons with post-test which analyzes the psycho-spiritual state of the same subject after listening it for certain period of time, it would be great help to a similar study with the study of a fairly clinical dimension.

이 연구는 한국교회가 성장정체 및 하락현상이 나타나고, 사회로부터 신뢰상실 및 지탄받는 위기상황에서 강단 회복을 위한 설교학적 대안을 모색하기 위한 문헌연구이 다. 이 연구는 상담적 설교관점에서 분당우리교회 담임목사인 이찬수의 설교를 분석 하여 그것으로부터 강단 회복의 대안을 찾으려는 시도였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 이찬수의 설교를 분석한 결과, 그는 (1) 문제해결에 집중 하는 설교, (2) 상담기법을 활용하는 설교, (3) 치유중심적 설교, (4) 권면을 통한 실제 적 행동변화를 추구하는 설교, (5) 성경으로 삶을 재해석하는 설교였다. 그의 설교에 는 상담적 설교의 구성요소들을 모두 갖추었기에 그의 설교를 상담적 설교로 정의할 수 있었다. 그는 이런 상담적 설교를 통해 신자들의 문제를 효율적으로 해결해주었고, 결과적으로 교회의 부흥을 가져오게 되었다. 이 연구는 말씀에 대한 기대가 사라져버린 오늘의 한국교회 강단 회복을 위해 이 찬수의 설교와 같은 상담적 설교가 하나의 대안이 될 수 있다는 것을 나타낸 것이다. 이는 성도들이 설교를 통해 자신의 문제를 해결 받고 싶게 만들어 설교에 집중하게 하고, 설교를 기대하게 만들기 때문이다. 나아가 상담적 설교는 신자들로 하여금 복음 의 능력으로 치유를 경험하게 하여 회복된 성도들이 자신의 삶의 문제에 함몰되는 것 을 넘어 이웃과 세상을 살리는 자로 살게 한다는 것을 이찬수는 자신의 설교와 목회 를 통해 보여주었다. 상담적 설교는 한국교회 강단을 치유하고 새롭게 할 하나의 대 안이 될 것을 기대할 수 있었다. 이 연구는 선행연구들이 이찬수 설교의 특징들을 열거만 했을 뿐 그 특징들에 대 하여 분석하지 못하는 한계를 분석하고, 상담적 설교의 관점에서 이찬수 설교를 분석 하려는 연구목적에 따라 상담적 설교가 다른 설교와 구분되는 특징적 요소가 무엇인 지, 상담적 설교를 바탕으로 한 이찬수의 설교는 어떠한 측면에서 오늘날 한국교회 강단 회복을 위한 한 대안이 될 수 있는지를 중점적으로 다루었다. 이 연구는 문헌연 구였으나, 이 주제의 연구가 좀 더 학술적인 차원의 향상을 기하기 위해서는 이찬수 의 설교를 듣기 전 심리영적 상태를 분석하는 검사를 통해 결과를 얻은 후(pre-test), 일정기간 상담적 설교를 들은 다음, 동일한 심리영적 상태를 분석하는 검사를 통해 (post-test) 상태의 증감을 나타내는 유의미한 차이를 확인하고, 어떤 부분에서 임상적 으로 유의미한 차이가 발생했는지를 분석하면 이 연구와 어우러져 입체적이고 상호보 완적인 차원의 연구가 될 것이다.
