This paper recently presented examples of “cultural processes” in which China claims that Korean culture, such as kimchi, hanbok, and taekwondo, originally belonged to China. We also looked at how China is promoting its culture and history abroad, and likewise, Korea is promoting its culture and history abroad. This study found that South Korea's countermeasures are weaker than those of China. Therefore, Korean companies and the government should supplement this lax response and come up with a systematic and long-term response plan. In this study, the government and businesses divided into four ways to respond to China's cultural process. Specifically, the four strategies include government-business-level efforts and support for Korean studies, expanding the effectiveness of international cultural exchange projects centered on soft power such as Hallyu, expanding historical and cultural exchanges with North Korea, and expanding social contribution activities at the corporate level.

본 논문에서는 최근 중국이 김치나 한복, 태권도 등 한국의 문화가 본래 중국의 것이었다고 주장하는 ‘문화공정’의 사례에 대해 제시하였다.. 또한 중국이 자국의 문화와 역사를 해외에 어떻게 알리고 있는지 살펴보았고, 마찬가지로 한국도 자국의 문화와 역사를 어떻게 해외에 알리고 있는지 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통해 조사해본 결과 한국은 중국에 비해 대응방안이 허술하다는 것을 도출할 수 있었다. 따라서 한국 기업과 정부 는 이러한 허술한 대응을 보완하여 체계적이고 장기적으로 대응방안을 마련해야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 중국의 문화공정에 대해 어떻게 대 응해야 하는지 정부·기업차원 등으로 나누어 네가지로 제시했다. 구체적으로 네가지의 대응전략은 한국학 연구에 대한 정부·기업차원에서의 노력 및 지원, 한류와 같은 소프트파워를 중심으로 한 국제문화교류사업 효과 확대, 북한과의 역사·문화 분야에 대한 고증 교류 확대, 기업 차원 에서의 역사·문화 관련 사회공헌활동 확대가 있다.
