Since 2021, revised criminal procedure law and public prosecutor’s office act have enforced. Even though these changes should affect the area of a correction welfare , few studies have conducted so far. In this study, development plans of correction welfare are suggested by analyzing the new criminal procedure law and public prosecutor’s office act. The suggestions are as follows : First, a introduction of SWCPO(Social Werfare Center Police Officer) is needed. Second, a current statement assistant system should be expanded. Third, it is necessary to arrange police social workers in police office. Fourth, social workers could be deliberative committee members. This study is meaningful in that it suggested specific development plans of correction welfare according to coordination of investigation authority.

2021.1.1.부터 개정된 내용의 형사소송법과 검찰청법이 시행됨으로써 기존 수사 권 체계에 변화가 초래되었다. 검경 수사권 조정에 따른 영향은 형사사법체계와 밀접한 관련을 가지는 교정복지 분야에도 미칠 것으로 보이나, 이와 관련된 연구 는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수사권 조정의 내용을 검토하고 이에 따른 교정복지 분야의 발전방안을 제시하고자 한다. 구체적 방안으로 사회복지기관 전담 경찰관 제도 도입, 진술조력인 조력 대상 범위 확대, 사회복지 전문 경찰관(가칭 ‘경찰사회복지사’)의 도입, 사회복지사의 영장심의위원 위촉 등을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 함의는 변화된 수사 체계를 고려하여 경찰 단계 교정복지 서비스의 발전 방향을 구체적 방법을 포함하여 제시하 였다는 데에 있다.
