The aim of this study is to recognize that an introduction to ellipsis phenomena is needed for L1 Korean-L2 Spanish learners and to explore effective ways of teaching contents relevant to ellipsis. There has so far been no attempt to provide an overview of ellipsis phenomena nor a systematic teaching about ellipsis constructions in L2 Spanish learning, and thus little research from a pedagogical perspective has been carried out in this regard. Ellipsis is one of the main properties of natural language, and its proper understanding, like other grammatical and syntactic properties of the language, is equally important not only for good communication but also for precise interpretation and correct writing. From this point of view, it is necessary to a certain extent to learn ellipsis phenomena in L2 Spanish, at least at the university level education courses, and effective teaching/learning methods are also needed in this regard. In this paper, I examine Korean-Spanish writing samples and discuss issues related to the understanding of ellipsis phenomena in L2 Spanish learning and their applications in writing.

본 연구의 목적은 제 2외국어 스페인어 수강생들을 위한 생략현상에 대한 소개 및 학습의 필요성을 인식하고 효과적인 교수 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 아직까지 국내 대학의 제 2외국어 교 육현장에서는 스페인어의 생략현상에 대한 개괄적인 소개 또는 생략구문에 대한 체계적인 학습 은 진행되고 있지 않으며, 그에 따라 스페인어의 생략현상과 관련된 교육학적 관점의 선행연구 역시 전무한 실정이다. 자연언어의 주요 특성들 중 하나인 생략현상에 대한 이해는 여타 문법적· 구문적 특성에 관한 학습과 마찬가지로 원활한 의사소통뿐만 아니라 구문에 대한 정확한 해석과 올바른 구문의 작성에 있어서도 중요하다. 이러한 견지에서 볼 때, 적어도 대학 수준의 전공교육 과정에서만큼은 제 2외국어 스페인어의 생략현상에 대해 어느 정도의 학습이 필요하며, 이와 관 련된 효과적인 교수 및 학습방안에 관한 연구 역시 필요하다고 할 수 있다. 본고에서는 한국어- 스페인어 작문 표본을 분석하여 제 2외국어로서 스페인어 학습에서 생략현상에 대한 전반적인 이 해 및 실제 작문 시 활용에 관해 논의하고자 한다.
