This thesis is a study on the necessity of establishing a baseball specialized high school in Korea. Based on previous research related to baseball, the necessity of establishing a baseball specialized high school was suggested, and the empirical study was performed on the necessity of it based on a questionnaire survey. In light of the prior research, the followings are the necessity of establishing a baseball specialized high school in Korea and its establishment plan. Firstly, the synergy effect is expected when a baseball school is compatible on one campus in a national or private form using the existing school site. Currently, there is no university with a baseball department, and Hoseo University is the only one that has a baseball department in the master's course at the graduate school. There is no high school with a baseball department, but it tends to have more departments related to golf, dance, baduk, and tourism. it is suggested that baseball specialized high schools operate in 3 to 5 classes per grade, and colleges run for the second year. Secondly, baseball specialized high schools provide not only the basic course of cultivating baseball players, but also the course of cultivating physical education leaders such as baseball coaches and trainers. As the schools even have a curriculum related to qualifications, foreign language curriculum, and the fourth industry related to baseball, they will be regarded as a baseball specialized high schools. Finally, to summarize the results of empirical analysis on the necessity of establishing a baseball specialized high school, it was found that those who like baseball and watch baseball games in Korea show a positive position in establishing a baseball specialized high school. It was found that those who have played as a member of society baseball team or have participated in baseball supporters did not show a strong position in establishing a baseball specialized high school. Combining the results of this study, it is necessary to establish a baseball specialized high school in Korea, and if a curriculum is opened and operated in connection with the fourth industry, it is expected that the demand of baseball learners can be satisfied

본 논문은 한국에서 야구특성화고등학교 설립 필요성에 관한 연구로, 야구와 관련된 선행연구를 바탕으로 야구특성화고등학교 설립 필요성을 제시하였고, 설문조사를 바탕으로 한국에서 야구특성 화고등학교 설립 필요성에 대한 실증분석을 수행하였다. 첫째, 선행연구 분석 결과 한국에서 야구학 교 설립 필요성이 제시되었다. 한국에서 야구발전을 위하여 야구장 시설 및 인프라 확충이 요구되 며, 향후 야구고등학교 설립을 위한 TFT를 구성하여 국공립 또는 사립의 형태로 야구 특성화고등 학교와 야구대학교를 설립하는 방안을 구체적으로 검토해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 야구학교는 기존 학교 부지를 활용하여 국립이나 사립의 형태로 야구특성화고등학교와 야구대학교를 한 캠퍼스에서 양립 하는 형태로 설립하면 한층 더 시너지 효과가 나타날 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 셋째, 야구특성화고 등학교는 야구선수를 양성하는 기본적 과정뿐만 아니라, 야구와 관련된 다양한 자격증, 외국어 교육 과정, 야구와 관련된 제4차 산업과 연계된 교육과정을 함께 개설하여 운영하게 되면 명실상부한 야 구특성화고등학교로 거듭날 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 한국에 야구특성화고등학교 설립 필요성에 관한 실증분석 결과를 종합해보면 한국에서 야구를 좋아하고 야구경기를 직접 관람하는 사람일수록 야구특성화고등학교 설립에 긍정적인 입장을 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 고등학교에 진학해야 하는 중학생들은 야구특성화고등학교 설립 필요성을 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 선행연 구와 실증분석 연구결과를 종합해보면 한국에서 야구특성화고등학교 설립이 필요하고, 제4차 산업 과 연계해서 교육과정을 개설하여 운영하면, 다양한 야구학습자들의 수요를 충족할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
