Levenson Self-Report Psychopathy scale, which is developed by Levenson, Kiel and Fitzpatrick, is a scale that can evaluate psychopath’s behavioral and personality trait. Studies have been conducted in Korea, but they are limited to noninstitutionalized groups and was not suitable for domestic inmates. Therefore, This study aims to conduct factor analysis on a inmate groups and demonstrate LSRP’s factor structure suitable for inmates. The samples consisted of ~ inmates. The result was examined by exploratory factor analysis, targeted rotation, and model modifications and question number 2, 3, 11, 18, 21, 23 was deleted in the process. After the confirmatory factor analysis process, the result confirmed that the 4 factor model was fit to the data. This study validated LSRP with the domestic inmate groups and revealed that LSRP has a different factor structure compared to foreign countries. This result shows that a scale developed to reflect a particular culture need to consider cultural differencies to be used in Korea.

레빈슨 사이코패시 자기보고 검사(LSRP; Levenson Self- Report Psychopathy scale)는 레빈슨 등(Levenson et al)의 연 구자에 의해 개발된 사이코패시의 행동 및 성격 특성을 평가하 기 위한 도구이다. 국내에서도 연구가 이뤄진 바가 있으나 비수 감자 집단에 한정되어있으며 수감자 집단에는 적합하지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 수감자 집단을 대상으로 하여 탐색적 요 인분석을 실시하고 국내 수감자에게 적합한 LSRP의 요인구조를 도출하는 것을 목표로 한다. 그리고 한국 수감자 집단을 대상으 로 하여 LSRP를 타당화하는 것에 목적을 둔다. 이를 위하여 전 국 단위 교도소에서 300명의 수감자를 수집하였다. 분석결과는 탐색적 요인분석과 목표회전, 모형 수정을 통해서 도출했으며 2, 3, 11, 18, 21, 23 문항을 삭제하여 총 20개의 문항을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 최종적으로 4개의 요인으로 ‘물질만능적 사고방식’, ‘조종적인’, ‘자기중심적인’, ‘비계획적인 생 활태도’의 구조가 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 국내 남성 수감자를 대상으로 LSRP의 타당화를 과학적으로 증명하였 으며 LSRP의 경우 국외와는 달리 국내에서 다른 요인구조를 보 임을 밝혀 특정 문화를 반영하여 개발된 측정도구를 국내에 도 입할 경우 서로 다른 문화의 특수성을 구성요소에 반영하는 것의 중요성을 보여준다.
