This study performs an exploratory investigation in order to develop online-class learning style scale. By theoretical speculation and expert reviews, we propose four dimensions of online learning style, each of which has two sub-dimensions: the mindset (whole and analytical), communication preference (introverted and extroverted), class style preference (showing and calm), and planning scope (planning and flexibility). We identify 15 items which can be used to measure the four dimensions of online learning style using reliability analysis. In addition, we empirically validate them through confirmatory factor analysis. The study results provide support for the four dimensions and 16 online learning styles. As the first research on the development of online learning style scale, this study may prove to have utility across broad range of educational research context.

본 연구는 인터넷 강의(인강) 학습 스타일 척도를 개발하는 탐색적 연구로 이론적 고찰과 전문가 검토를 통해 사고방식, 선호 커뮤니케이션, 선호 수업 스타일, 계획수립 범위 등 4가지의 인강 학습 스타일 차원을 밝혔다. 사고방식은 총체형과 분석형, 선호 커뮤니케이션 차원에는 내향형과 외향형, 선호 수업 스타일은 흥미형과 차분형, 그리고 계획수립범위는 계획형과 유연형의 세부 차원으로 설정하였다. 신뢰도 분석으로 15개의 세부 항목을 설정하고 탐색적 확증적 요인분석을 통해 4개의 차원을 실증적으로 검증하 였다. 결국 4가지 차원, 16가지의 인강 학습 스타일이 지지 되었다. 본 연구는 최초의 인강 학습 스타일 척도 개발 연구로 향후 실용적 연구에서 다양하게 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
