The purpose of this study is to find out the current status of sand play therapy and research trends through a master's and doctorate thesis in Korea. From 2011 to the first half of 2021, 127 master's and doctoral dissertations related to sand play therapy were classified into research years, subjects, research methods, and characteristics related to sand play therapy, and frequency analysis was conducted with SPSS 19 statistical program. First, 22 papers (17.3 percent) were published in 2014, second, 56 papers (44 percent) were studied for children and 62 papers (48.7 percent) were found to be inappropriate. Third, 54 episodes (29.7 percent) of the Psychological Sentiment were the most popular topic of sand play therapy. Fourth, 45(35.4 percent) of the mixed research methods were used to study sand play. Fifth, the most common characteristics of intervention in sand play therapy were once a week, 6-10 sessions, and 50-60 minutes. First of all, the proposal for follow-up research needs to expand the period of research to analyze and understand Korea's first sand play therapy research and recent research to understand the overall sand play treatment research trends. Second, a comparative analysis study on the trends of Korean and foreign research will be needed by considering various domestic and foreign papers and academic journals.

본 연구는 모래놀이치료 실태와 연구동향을 국내 석ㆍ박사 학위논문으로 알아 보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 모래놀이치료 관련 2011년부터 2021년 상반기까지 석ㆍ박사 학위논문 127편을 대상으로 연구년도, 연구대 상, 연구주제, 연구방법, 모래놀이 치료 관련 특성으로 분류하고, SPSS 19 로 빈도분석을 하였다. 연구결과는 첫 째, 논문 연도는 2014년 22편(17.3%)으로 가장 많았고, 둘째, 연구대상은 아동대상 논문 56편(44%), 대상의 특성 으로는 부적응 관련 논문 62편(48.7%)으로 나타났다. 셋째, 모래놀이치료 연구주제(변인)는 심리정서 54편(29.7%) 이 가장 많았고. 넷째, 모래놀이 연구방법으로는 혼합연구가 45(35.4%)편으로 많았다. 다섯째. 모래놀이치료 개입 별 특성으로는 주1회, 6-10회기, 50-60분 적용이 가장 많이 나왔다. 후속연구에 대한 제언은 첫째, 연구기간을 더 욱 확대해 국내 최초 모래놀이치료 연구와 최근의 연구까지 분석하고 파악하여 전반적인 모래놀이 치료 연구동향 을 파악할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 다양한 국내외 논문과 학술지를 고찰하여 우리나라와 외국 연구 동향에 대한 비교 분석 연구도 필요할 것이다.
