The purpose of this study is to elucidate the effect size by using meta-analysis of important variables proposed in the existing empirical studies to improve the career adaptability of college students. In addition, new variables revealed after the study of Eun-gyu Park and Seo-jeong Lee (2018), who are previous researchers in meta-analysis related to career adaptability, are added to compare and analyze the differences from previous studies. As a result of the previous study, the behavioral trait factor group and self-leadership had the largest effect size. However, if the scope of the study was expanded until February 2021, it was found that the psychological characteristic factor group and the basic psychological need factor had the largest effect size.Through the results of this study, I would like to suggest that providing an educational environment that satisfies basic psychological needs is an important way to increase career adaptability in the future work world.

본 연구에서 대학생의 진로적응성을 향상시키기 위하여 기존의 실증 연구에서 제시된 중요 변인들을 메타분석법으로 효과크기(effect size)를 밝히는데 있다. 또한, 진로적응성 관련 메타분석 선행 연구자인 박은규ㆍ이서정(2018) 연구 이후에 밝혀진 새로운 변인을 첨가하여 기존 연구와의 차이점을 비교 분석하고자 한다. 선행연구 결과는 행동적 특성 요인군이 가장 큰 효과크기를 보였으며, 심리적 특성 요인군에서는 셀프리더십이 가장 큰 효과크기를 가졌다. 하지만, 2021년 2월까지 기존 실증 연구 범위를 확대하고 새로운 변인을 첨가하면, 심리적 특성 요인군이 가장 큰 효과크기를 보이며, 심리적 특성 요인군에서는 셀프리더십보다 기본심리욕구 요인이 더 큰 효과크기를 가지는 것으로 도출되었다. 연구 결과를 통해서 심리적 특성을 지닌 요인들과 특히, 기본심리욕구를 충족할 수 있는 교육환경 제공이 대학생들의 불확실한 미래 직업 세계에서 진로적응을 높일 수 있는 중요 방안으로 제안하고자 한다.
