This paper was studied to develop media acting more effectively in media acting education using cameras. The acting training methodology presented by Stella Adler, who invented the methodology of “imagination”, “given situation” and “body behavior” of Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Senford Meizner, influenced by the acting methodology of renowned Russian actor and director Konstantin Stanislavsky. If this methodology is applied to media acting using cameras, it will be able to provide more efficient education for aspiring actors and will greatly help them improve their skills. It is impossible to define which of the acting methodologies is correct and which is wrong. This is because the answer may be to change the acting methodology, which is easy for actors to apply, into their own style little by little, and to present an emotional performance that is natural and sympathetic to the viewers. That’s why some actors are recognized and loved by the public, while others are shunned by the public. Actors need to create their own methods to satisfy the audience on stage and in front of the camera, but they need to know what to focus on when analyzing scenarios to build characters, and what synergies they bring by combining them with camera media acting. Therefore, unlike stage acting such as plays and musicals, which communicate directly with the audience, the camera should know the size of the camera’s shot in acting through a movie or drama. No matter how good an actor is on stage, if the media acts in front of another camera without knowing the size of the camera, the acting will never be recognized by the public. Even in the era of the fourth industry, many audiences can conveniently access art anytime, anywhere without restrictions on time and space, and the standard for judging acting has also increased. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze and present better acting methodologies to actors acting through camera media through Stella Adler’s acting methodology and the camera's shot size.

본 논문은 카메라를 활용하는 매체 연기교육에서 좀 더 효과적으로 매체 연기를 발전시켜 보고자 연 구하게 되었다. 러시아의 저명한 연기자이자 연출가인 콘스탄틴 스타니슬랍스키의 연기방법론에 영향을 받은 리 스트라스버그, 스텔라 애들러, 샌포드 마이즈너의 연기방법론 중 ‘상상력’, ‘주어진 상황’, ‘신체 행동’의 구축으로 캐릭터를 형성해 나가는 방법론을 창안한 스텔라 애들러가 제시한 연기훈련 방법론은 연기교육에서 주목할 만한 것이다. 이 방법론을 카메라를 활용한 매체 연기에 접목한다면 배우를 지망하 는 사람들에게 좀 더 효율적인 교육을 할 수 있을 것이고 그들의 능력을 향상되게 하는데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. 연기방법론 중 무엇이 정답이고 무엇이 오답인지는 정의를 내릴 수 없다. 연기를 하는 사람이 배우의 입장에서 응용하기 쉬운 연기방법론을 택하여 조금씩 자신만의 스타일로 바꾸어, 보는 사 람들로 하여금 자연스럽고 공감하기 적절한 감정의 연기를 선보이는 것만이 정답일 수 있기 때문이다. 배우는 자신만의 철학으로 메소드를 만들어 무대와 카메라 앞에서 관객을 만족시켜야 하는데 시나리오 를 분석하여 캐릭터 구축을 할 때 무엇에 중점을 두어야 효과적일 것인지, 또한 카메라 매체 연기에 접 목함으로 어떤 시너지효과를 가져오는지에 대해서 알아야 한다. 그렇기에 관객과 직접 교감하는 연극, 뮤지컬 등의 무대연기와 다르게 영화나 드라마 등 카메라라는 매체를 통한 연기에서는 카메라의 샷 사이 즈를 알아야만 한다. 아무리 무대 위에서 연기를 잘하는 배우라고 하더라도 매체가 다른 카메라 앞에서 카메라의 사이즈를 모르고 연기를 한다면 절대로 대중들에게 연기를 인정받을 수 없기 때문이다. 심지어 4차 산업혁명 시대에 많은 관객들은 편리하게 언제 어디서든 시공간에 제약을 두지 않고 예술을 접할 수 있게 되었고 연기를 판단하는 기준점도 높아 졌다. 그렇기 때문에 본 연구자는 스텔라 애들러의 연기방 법론과 카메라의 샷 사이즈를 통해서 카메라 매체를 통해 연기하는 배우에게 좀 더 나은 연기방법론을 분석하고 제시하는 것에 목적을 둔다.
