This study aims to study the resistance of female subaltern subject in by Xiao Hong. Most of the female characters in live tragic lives locked up by the feudal system. However, Mrs. Wang courageously resists toward the injustice of the time unlike other women. This describes the conflict between the patriarchical system and women in Northern China during the Japanese colonial time in 1930s, and confusion between the compliance and resistance in the middle of periodic conflict of national liberation. Likewise, Xiao Hong tried to emphasize on the resistance of women from Northern China who did not settle for the tragic ending, but struggled at the crossroad of life and death like Mrs. Wang. Thus, this study aims to examine the resistance of female subaltern subject apart from the previous perspective of that was dealt as female tragedy. Also, it is expected that this study will be a turning point of recognizing as the resistance of female subaltern subject and evaluated for its value.

본 연구는 蕭紅의 <生死場>에 나타난 여성 하위주체의 저항을 연구 목표로 삼았다. <生死場>을 살펴보면 등장하는 여성들 대부분이 봉건제도의 울타리에 갇혀 비극적인 삶을 살고 있 다. 하지만 왕씨 아주머니는 당시 여성과 달리 시대의 부조리에 맞서 용감하게 저항하는 모습 이 그려졌다. 이는 1930년대 가부장 제도와 일제 강점기로 인해 중국 북방지역의 여성들이 가 부장 제도의 갈등과 민족해방이라는 시대의 충돌 속에 순응과 저항이 교차하면서 생활하고 있 었음을 엿볼 수 있다. 이처럼 蕭紅은 왕씨 아주머니의 저항을 통해 중국 북방지역의 여성들이 결코 시대의 비극적 결말에서 끝나지 않고 삶과 죽음의 갈림길에서 몸부림치며 저항한 점을 부각하고자 했다. 따라서 본 논문은 여성의 비극에서 다루었던 <生死場>의 기존 관점을 벗어나 여성 하위주체로서의 저항을 심도 있게 고찰하고자 한다. 또한, 본 연구를 통해 여성 하위주체 의 저항에서 <生死場>을 새롭게 인식하고 이에 대한 가치 평가가 이루어지길 기대해 본다.
