The object of this study was to evaluate the factors affecting quality of life in parents with type 1 diabetes children. The design of this study was a cross-sectional survey. The participants of the study were 147 parents with type 1 diabetes children and data collection was conducted online survey. The data were analyzed by correlation and multiple regression analysis. The mean age of the participants was 40.65±5.22 year, female was 116 (78.9%), and there were 89 cases of two children.　The total scores of quality of life in parents with type 1 diabetes children was 60.19±16.24 (range: 15.97~95.83) and diabetes family conflict scores was 27.35±6.09 (range: 19.00~57.00). The explanatory power of the quality of life in parents with type 1 diabetes children model which was constructed by three variables of gender of children, duration of disease, and diabetes family conflict was 25.0% (F=17.15, p<.001). In order to improve the quality of life of parents with type 1 diabetes children, interventions are needed to effectively manage diabetes family conflicts.

연구의 목적은 제1형 당뇨병 환아 부모의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하는 것이었고, 연구 의 디자인은 횡단적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 제1형 당뇨병 환아 부모 147명이며 자료수집은 온라인 설문조사로 실시했다. 자료는 IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 기술 통계, 상관 관계 및 다중회귀분석으로 분석되었다. 연구대상자의 평균 나이는 40.65 ± 5.22세, 부모 중 엄마가 116명 (78.9 %), 2명의 자녀를 둔 경우가 89명이었다. 제1형 당뇨병 환아 부모의 삶의 질 총점은 60.19±16.24 (범위: 15.97~95.83)점, 당뇨병 가족갈등 점수는 27.35 ± 6.09 (범위: 19.00 ~ 57.00) 점이었다. 환아의 성별, 환아의 당뇨병 유병기간, 당뇨병 가족갈등의 세 변수로 구성된 제1형 당뇨병 환아 부모의 삶의 질 모델의 설명력은 25.0%(F=17.15, p<.001)이었다. 제1형 당뇨병 환아 부모의 삶의 질을 높이기 위해서, 당뇨병 가족갈등 정도를 낮출 수 있는 가족중심의 중재 프로그램의 개발이 필요하겠다.
