This study is a narrative inquiry of the life and experiences of female athlete in paragliding sports in Korea. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews with research participants to construct narrative inquiry data. we analyzed the data based on the perspective of three-dimensional narrative space presented by Clandinin & Connelly(2000). The research results are as follows. Research participant improved their lives and skills as athletes through independent competence and effort despite the structural disadvantages of being an unpopular event. In addition, She gained medals in the Asian Games, the first Korean woman succeeded in a long-distance flight of 155 km. Based on the results of the study, the researchers discussed the reinforcement of the subjective capacity of the study participants and the pure sports philosophy and values not stained with commercialism.

본 연구는 한국 패러글라이딩 스포츠 여성 선수의 삶과 선수생활 경험을 다룬 내러티브 탐구이다. 연구자는 연구참 여자와 심층면담을 수행하여 내러티브 탐구자료를 구성했다. 자료는 Clandinin & Connelly(2000)가 제시한 3차원 내러 티브 공간 탐구관점에 의해 분석했다. 연구결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 연구참여자는 비인기 종목이라는 구조적 불리함 속에서도 주체적 역량과 노력을 통해 자신의 삶과 선수로서의 기량을 향상시켰다. 아시안 게임에서의 메달획득과 함께 한국여성 최초의 직선거리 155㎞의 장거리 비행에 성공했다. 연구결과에 근거하여 연구자들은 연구참여자의 주체적 역 량강화와 상업주의에 물들지 않은 순수한 스포츠 철학과 가치에 대한 논의를 했다.
