The purpose of this study was to examine whether emotional expression ambivalence mediates the relationship between social imposition perfectionism and parenting stress of mothers with elementary school children, and to verify whether parenting efficacy moderates this mediating effect. To this end, 352 mothers raising children of elementary school students used an online questionnaire to measure social imposition perfectionism, emotional expression ambivalence, parenting efficacy, and parenting stress. The data were analyzed using the SPSS Macro PROCESS. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of conducting a correlation analysis of social imposition perfectionism, emotional expression ambivalence, parenting efficacy, and parenting stress, social imposition perfectionism showed a significant positive correlation with emotional expression ambivalence and parenting stress. Second, it was found that emotional expression ambivalence partially mediated the relationship between social imposition, perfectionism and parenting stress. Third, the moderating effect of parenting efficacy was confirmed in the relationship between emotional expression ambivalence and parenting stress. Fourth, In addition, it was confirmed that the indirect effect of social imposition perfectionism on parenting stress through emotional expression ambivalence was moderated by parenting efficacy. Based on these results, the significance and limitations of this study and suggestions for further research were discussed.

본 연구는 초등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 사회부과 완벽주의와 양육스트레스 간의 관계에서 정서표현양가성이 매개하는지 살펴보고, 양육효능감이 이러한 매개효과를 조절하는지를 검증 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학생 자녀를 양육하고 있는 어머니 352명을 대상으로 온라인 설문방식을 사용하여 사회부과 완벽주의, 정서표현양가성, 양육효능감, 양육스트레스를 측정 하였고, 매개효과, 조절효과, 그리고 조절된 매개효과에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회부과 완벽주의, 정서표현양가성, 양육효능감, 양육스트레스의 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 사회부과 완벽주의는 정서표현양가성과 양육스트레스와 유의한 정 적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 사회부과 완벽주의와 양육스트레스 간의 관계를 정서표현양가성이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 정서표현양가성과 양육스트레스 간의 관계에서 양육효 능감의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 넷째, 사회부과 완벽주의가 정서표현양가성을 경유하여 양육 스트레스에 미치는 간접효과가 양육효능감에 의해 조절됨이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕 으로 본 연구가 갖는 의의와 한계, 후속 연구를 위한 제안점을 논의하였다.
