This study analyzed the experiences of Vietnamese marriage immigrant woman in adapting to Korean society by applying Rosenthal's narrative life history analysis steps. The data analysis dealt with the chronological life history, and analyzed the life history of the story and the life history experienced by subject area. As a result of the analysis, the main theme of the life structure of the participants is [Marriage chosen to escape from the Insignificant life in Vietnam] [Living to do her best to take responsibility for her own choice] [Reborn as a wonderful mother for son] [A receptive life achieved through endless efforts] [Standing up herself and building up her life] . The case structure of the story of life history was analyzed as 'to be recognized as an achievement made by her own choices and efforts, to become a good mother'. Through the results of the study, the offer of academic opportunities for marriage immigrant women, customized support for the development stages, and recognition improvement of multicultural families were proposed.

본 연구는 베트남 결혼이주여성의 한국사회 적응경험을 로젠탈의 내러티브 생 애사 분석 단계를 적용하여 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 연대기순 생애사를 다루 고, 이야기된 생애사와 체험된 생애사를 주제 영역별로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 참여자의 생애구조의 주요 주제는 [베트남에서의 보잘 것 없는 삶에 서 벗어나고자 선택한 결혼] [자신의 선택에 책임지려 최선을 다하는 삶] [아들 에게 훌륭한 어머니로 거듭나기] [끝없는 노력으로 성취한 수용적인 삶] [스스로 서서 삶을 구성하다]로 요약된다. 이야기된 생애사의 사례구조는‘자신의 선택 과 노력으로 이룬 성과로 인정받기, 훌륭한 어머니 되기’의 차원에서 분석되었다. 연구결과를 통해 결혼이주여성의 취업 학업기회의 제공, 발달단계에 맞는 맞춤 형지원, 다문화가족에 대한 인식 개선을 논의하였다.
