Along with global culture, interest in other countries’ cultures, as shown from the popularity of Korean K-pop, is also increasing. Korean traditional cultural elements are important materials that can clearly express Korea’s identity and uniqueness and have global market potential. Fashion and cultural commodification should then be continuously developed to reflect Korean cultural elements that are differentiated from other countries. Expectations and demands for the creation of high value-added cultural products reflecting Korea’s unique image are increasing. Therefore, this study aims to present new possibilities by applying the traditional Korean clothing culture element, the Hyungbae, as an element of fashion and cultural product design using laser cutting machines, which are mainly used as industrial cutting machines. In addition, the Hyoongbae of Korean traditional dress is a Korean traditional element that can be clearly distinguished from other countries’ cultures, and the combination of Korean traditional dress elements and the fashion industry aims at differentiating Korea's national image and securing its competitiveness. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present high value-added fashion cultural products that combine traditional cultural elements using embroidery patterns expressed on the Hyoongbae of the Joseon Dynasty. As for the research methodologies, the study analyzed concepts of the Hyoongbae of the Joseon Dynasty and overviews of laser. By analyzing fashion design cases and prior research with laser cutting techniques, details of embroidery patterns expressed on the Hyoongbae of the Joseon Dynasty were derived. Based on sample production and sample test results through sample motifs, we propose a design with potential for real production. The design process for the production of works was constructed, and conclusions could be drawn through work production and work analysis using the design process. The material is limited to brocade of the Korean fabric, which is characterized by its aesthetic effect and ease of water washing. The study has significance in that it can facilitate the development of designs using materials expressed in traditional Korean patterns. It aims to develop cape designs and revitalize the high value-added fashion and cultural product industry by considering embroidery patterns of the Hyoongbae of the Joseon Dynasty, which were not well utilized in prior research on laser cutting techniques. It is expected that the development of pattern design using traditional Korean cultural elements will contribute to the development of the Korean fashion and culture industry.

글로벌 문화와 함께 한국 문화 K-pop의 인기와 같은 타 국가의 문화에 대한 관심도 높아지고 있다. 한국의 전통문화적 요소는 한국만의 정체성 및 고유성을 명확히 표현할 수 있는 중요한 소재이며 글로벌 시장 가능 성을 가지고 있다. 이에 타 국가와 차별화되는 한국의 문화적 요소를 반영하는 패션 문화상품화가 지속적으 로 개발되어야 한다. 한국 고유의 이미지를 반영한 고부가가치 문화상품 창출에 대한 기대 및 요구가 증가되 고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국 전통 복식 문화 요소인 흉배를 패션 문화상품 디자인의 요소로 응용하고 공업용 커팅기로 주로 사용되고 있는 레이저 커팅기를 의복에 활용하여 새로운 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 한국 전통복식의 흉배는 타 국가문화와 명확히 구분할 수 있는 한국의 전통 요소로, 한국 전통복식 요소 와 패션산업과의 결합은 한국의 국가적 이미지 차별화 및 경쟁력을 확보하는 데 있다. 따라서 본 연구목적은 조선 시대 흉배에 표현된 자수 문양을 활용하여 전통문화적 요소가 결합한 고부가가치 패션 문화상품을 제 시하는 것이다. 연구 방법은 조선 시대 흉배에 대한 개념 및 레이저의 개요를 분석하였다. 레이저 커팅 기법 이 적용된 패션디자인 사례 및 선행연구를 분석하여, 조선 시대 흉배에 표현된 자수 문양의 디테일을 도출하 였다. 샘플 모티브를 통한 샘플 제작 및 샘플 테스트 결과를 바탕으로 실물 생산 가능성이 있는 디자인을 제안하였다. 작품 제작을 위한 디자인 프로세스를 구성하고, 디자인 프로세스를 활용하여 작품 제작 및 작품 검증 분석을 통해 결론을 도출하였다. 소재는 심미적 효과와 물세탁이 용이하여 관리가 편리한 점이 특징인 한복지 양단으로 한정하였다. 한국 전통문양이 표현된 소재를 활용한 디자인이 더욱 개발될 가능성에 의의가 있다. 레이저 커팅 기법 선행연구에서 잘 활용되지 않은 조선 시대 흉배의 자수 문양을 고찰하여 케이프 디자 인을 개발하고 고부가가치 패션 문화상품 산업을 활성화하는 데 도움이 되고자 한다. 한국 전통문화 요소를 활용한 문양 패턴 디자인 개발은 한국의 패션 문화산업의 발전에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.
